Ordered my generator for an upcoming event where I will be needing power for my deep fryer. I have yet to try out the generator itself, but the set up was easy for the wheels (which means easy transport) and the user manual is extremely helpful and clear on instructions. The whole machine feels durable and strong.

Just received the generator. Very easy to assemble (even sent tool kit). Added oil, connected battery, added gas and started it up. Love the electric start with compression backup. Started within 5 seconds on first try. Runs like a champ, provides power and will provide for our safety and make my life much easier. Thank you!

I purchased this generator to run my house when we have frequent power outages due to storm damage in Southern Maine. This is simple to use and very user friendly!! I was impressed with fuel efficiency and how quiet it is compared to other generators I have run. The electric start is convenient and again very simple to use!!

As a single mom living in South Texas, I’ve been looking for a generator that gives me what I want in my budget. After extensive research and reviews, I chose this model. Westinghouse manufactured a generator that was exactly what I was looking for. Other manufactures had generators with to low or high voltage output and yours was perfect as well as the price. Putting it together, setting it up with the tools you provided made it easy.

Out of the box: Easy wheel installation. Oil provided with unique funnel. Filled with gasoline; Started on 1st pull....... Making electricity within a few seconds. Not as noisy as other generators this size. Makes 120vac and 240vac. For my purposes: I needed both voltages. My R.V. has a unique water heater that requires 240vac.... Nice looking and well engineered generator.

After a recent power outage that cost me some items from the refrigerator I decided it was time to invest in a generator. After asking friends and co-workers about features to look for and reading reviews on brands and generator types I decided to go with Westinghouse. I felt the WGen5300v was the best value for my needs and budget. It came with a wheel kit, a nearly 5 gal. (4.7) gas tank, easy to follow instructions and is easy to start. I have not needed it for an emergency yet but have no doubts it will provide more than enough power. An added bonus was that the engine (for its size) was not extremely loud.

Received this generator this week and it cranked right up with electric start. I wanted electric start in case my wife had to start it. I have not connected it and used it yet. On reading instructions carefully, I discovered that I needed to remove a jumper wire connecting the neutral to chassis ground. That's because I am connecting to a transfer switch. I hope never to use it but it's there when I need it.

My daughter and son-in-law were telling me how pleased they were with their recently purchased 5300SC generator. With the start of hurricane season here, I thought it was a good idea to have one of my own. As I am 96 years young, the electric start feature will definitely come in handy! Electric start is great for those cold days. Large wheels for ease of moving. Well built and and quieter than my previous generators. Smaller size makes it easy to store. CO2 sensor and low oil indicators make for safe operation.Built in RV and 5 prong connectors are very convenient. Would definitely buy this product again.
