We purchased the Sarasota Pergola 14x10 and also purchased the installation as well. The pergola is amazing! Looks great. High quality steel, Looks incredible in our yard. The installation team that came out were great .. Very professional and seamlessly installed the pergola in just a few hours. Highly recommended

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Installed it in about 6 hours today. I was wondering how smooth it would operate the louvers, but I am very pleased with it. It's only been a day, but so far I absolutely love it. Well designed. Fairly simple to install, needed 3 guys but mostly just to set the beams upright. Other than that really could do it yourself, but probably best to have 2.

Am a former heavy truck/bus, now train mechanic, so I know my way around assembling stuff. This wasn't bad. However I did noticed several things, it's supposedly powder coated but I noticed a tiny paint chip on one of the pieces. Pretty insignificant, I just hoped it really is galvanized and doesn't rust on that spot. Additionally one of the shorter top beams had a bunch of dents in the middle. It's not too noticable ones the roof is closed, but when it's opened looks like Rocky Balboa used it for training. But the biggest gripe is the ceiling louvers. I put them all together exactly the same as far as end brackets, and placed into the slotted rails, and covered those slotted rails with the flat bar, and connected all the louvers with the straps with hitch pins, but underneath when it's closed, it's just not even. Some louvers dip down a bit, so while they appeared to be totally fine when unpacking, I'm not sure if they're slightly bowed? I can't really imagine what else would cause that. But I was really hoping it would be flat under the whole thing. Haven't had rain really yet since I assembled, so I'm hoping the rain truly does fall into the gutters & out and not through the questionable louvers because that would be a real shame... Maybe I'll call them and see what they think?

We have intense sun on our deck in the summer. We purchased this pergola for the deck and had I think it will be very effective in the summer. One of the factors in choosing this particular model was its strength and ability to withstand high winds which we get occasionally. I do wish there were options for side curtains to block the sun in the late afternoon. We found the installation to be a bit more complicated and hired someone to finish the frame and secure the pergola to the deck and install the louvers.

When we started seeing pergolas set up in stores and some friends and family that had them, we wanted that look for our backyard. With time and patience, the set up was easy if you follow the step by step instructions.  I would absolutely recommend this pergola. Looking forward to enjoying our new pergola this summer!

After a lot of research I decided to purchase the Sarasota. Everything else appeared to be mainly aluminum, i heard steel was better a the quality shows. I didn’t want to deal with staining wood or maintenance either. You won’t be disappointed, assembly is at a great price too, a big reason why I went with BYD!

Our family purchased this 14x10 after deciding the louvered feature would be perfect for the inconsistent weather Oregon can provide. Already we have seen it work wonders in diverting rain when closed and keeping my kids happy and dry while they do school work. Installation was easy enough and all items were in great condition. I bought this to replace my gazebo that was destroyed by the hurricane. It is very nice and the louvers are cool. One word of caution during assembly: make sure you get the long beams set the right way. The instructions aren’t clear on that and we had to remove all the louvers and flip the beams over.

I bought the Sarasota Louvered Pergola 2 weeks ago and I love it. The louvered is adjustable it opens all the way or you can close it all the way if it’s raining, what a genius idea. I love the no maintenance with the galvanized steel and its sleek stylish black color. The instructions made it easy to install and came with all the anchoring plates and a 5 year warranty. I think I might buy one for my mom for Mother’s Day.

Team was very personable and helpful getting the item to me, good communication. My husband and I put this together ourselves (would recommend more people) but it was manageable! It is gorgeous. Quality. Makes my backyard feel cozy like a home, not just a slab of concrete. My dogs love it. I love opening/closing for sun/shade. Every one who comes over asks for a link so they can get one.
