[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have been searching for the perfect pergola for our backyard and patio to place over our new outdoor furniture to make our backyard more inviting and complete as we love entertaining. We looked for a few key things including; quality, functionality and durability. Assembly and Quality: This pergola is solid and has required very minimal upkeep. The set up took some time, but it was to be expected. With clear instructions and helpful customer service it will get put together in no time and well worth it in the end. Functionality: The adjustable louvres are amazing, if you want to let in the sunlight or you want some shade, or if you want to still be outside and it’s raining, just open or close the louvres and you have your perfect setup. This pergola also has a built-in drainage system. I would absolutely recommend this pergola to a friend and can't wait for summer to start!

Backyard Discovery is by far the best Pergola around. I looked at all the competitors and they were no better than the Backyard Discovery. They wanted to charge from 3X to 5X more for their product for nothing. When it arrived it was exactly as advertised and easy to assemble, we put it together in about 5 hours it came in 4 boxes with nothing missing. We added the lighting and will install a rollup screan to personalize. Very impressed, by far the best for the money. Construction Tip: Get a good hammer drill and good bits to anchor in to concrete or stone.

I looked for a long time before deciding on this product. The price was good and it didn't disappoint. We hired a handyman service to assemble and bolt to our deck. It's a sleek design, and we love that it has the drainage system and the option to have the slats open or closed. Provides great shade and even allows my husband to grill when it's raining! They're very sturdy. We get strong winds where we live and we've had no issues with the structural integrity. We liked this so much that we bought a second one for the other part of our deck. I highly recommend.

We purchased a larger side version for one portion of our deck then purchased this smaller size to fit another portion of our deck. It's well made and had a sleek look to it. We hired a handyman to assemble and bolt to our deck. We like being able to open and close the slats on top. Very easy to use and provides total coverage when it rains. The drainage system works well. We sometimes get high winds where we live but have had no issues with structural integrity.

Bought and installed a month ago, One beam was was 1/2” to long but BD overnighted a replacement beam. The install otherwise went flawlessly. Could have inbuilt this in one day but for the replaced Part. Instructions and Service were good. We are enjoying the flexibility of the louverrd operation and really enjoy the shade and definition it gives our patio.

Wow! We are impressed. The quality of our pergola couldn't be better. My husband and I setup in 6 hours. Everything was labeled, organized and easy to follow. Everything fit together and had no issues with alignment. The option to close and open the louvers is a wonderful option. Our deck was full sun during the day not much fun. But, now we can enjoy all day long.

We bought this pergola a few months ago and love it! We installed party lights and it is now a delightful focal point of our yard. We already have 2 wooden gazebos in our yard and are ver happy that we now have a steel pergola that will not need any upkeep.

We just got our BYD pergola set up and it is absolutely perfect!!! We love it so much! The assembly took about 10 hours for two people. And its features of opening and closing are fantastic! We love having a nice place to enjoy dinner as a family outside!! And it offers a great amount of shade, which will be especially nice this summer!!!

We bought two of these and absolutely love how they look in our yard, and enjoy being able to open or close the louvers as desired. All parts arrived in excellent shape, and our contractor did not have any problems with the assembly (we're not the DIY types). The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the built-in rain gutters are very shallow, and woefully inadequate during anything other than a very light rain. If it's really raining, the water either drips or pours down from the inside edge of the horizontal supports at the top of the pergola.
