I got the non extreme unit. After having it for 2 weeks, I’m one happy customer. After spending a couple of hours setting up and updating as well downloading the games I intended on playing on the device (Apex, L4D2, Dead Space Remake), I’m very surprised with the performance. Thank you ASUS for making such a beast of a device. Looking forward to seeing where this handheld is going.

I find this device very uncomfortable to hold in my hand. Joystick and button placement is just “off” compared to the comfort of a game controller. Had to by a silicone cover (Skull and something), and this makes it marginally more comfortable. Disappointed, overall. Had really high hopes.

Honestly one of the best pc's I've ever purchased. It's the perfect weight with a good screen size for gaming. It's also great to use as desktop pc, but you'll soon see that it shines more as a handheld. I bought the latest Asus Flow Z13 to replace it as my desktop and use this as my portable pc.

This thing exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something small to take with me to Dr appointments to play games while I wait on my wife’s treatment to be completed. Having the ability to not only game, but also watch movies and use windows 11 to what seems a full capacity has allowed me to keep up to date on work as well. I cannot recommend this product enough.

The ROG Ally works very well. Completed all updates before downloading any games. I have not had the overheating problem some have had with the sd card slot. It needs more storage than comes with it. Games are large and only 2 or 3 games will fit. No Documentation on how to set software up or button use. Thank goodness for YouTube videos. It’s a sad thing ASUS depends on someone else for instructions on how to use their product. It can be overwhelming.

I have been playing on (N) Switch and I really like the games offered but there is a lot of the time I want to just play the games that I have on my pc and not carrying my 12lb Rog laptop. This was the perfect option for me. The only complaint I have is that I had to reload the Ally after doing a ROG update to the bios and it did not prompt me to disable BitLocker (I hate bitlocker btw). This is an outstanding product and gaming platform for me its work the money and the ability to play game is here for you.

Honestly did not have enough for a gaming computer that could keep up with my taste in games. Luckily, the ROG Ally is exactly what I needed. Every game I'm interested in playing at the moment, plays flawlessly on the Ally. Amory crate is meh, but steam and every other game launcher integrated smoothly. I am convinced that The ROG Ally is the best handheld gaming platform

The only complaint I have is the battery life. I can't run rocket league on turbo mode for more that 45 minutes if I'm away from my charger. I know it's probably hard to have a small battery with that much power being used but a thought would be to include a wireless charging block with the purchase of the device

Haven't used a handheld since my gen 1 PSP almost 20 years ago, so the ALLY is a huge step up. Performs perfectly for 2D games in my library. Works well for optimized 3D and slightly older less-graphically intensive games as well. Take a while to adapt to the interface since it's built on Windows, but has different modes depending on what you're using it for. Only 1 USB-C port, which is a bit limiting since that has to be used for charging and peripherals as well.

First gaming setup ive had in a decade, and this did not disappoint. Coming from only owning consoles before the game choices and customization in settings are great. Shocking the amount of performance they fit into this tiny handheld device. Added bonus withe a dock and a wireless controller it works great on my tv.
