Everything is very good so far despite the criticism about the micro SD reader, so far I have had no problems and I use it daily, although it made me sad to know that a new review will be released in a few months, I hope ASUS can make the change to people who already have the old model and are at risk of losing the reader.

I bought my first Asus ROG yesterday, and I can't stop playing it! I did a little research before making my purchase and knew it would take some time to update everything, but I didn’t mind that much—patience is key. I'm surprised by how big and powerful this machine is! I only own regular consoles, but this thing is a beast!

Honestly one of the best pc's I've ever purchased. It's the perfect weight with a good screen size for gaming. It's also great to use as desktop pc, but you'll soon see that it shines more as a handheld. I bought the latest Asus Flow Z13 to replace it as my desktop and use this as my portable pc.

It’s small and fits in the hands; the ally gots good size to it! I’ve already got more than four hours on this product. When it has been turned on it resembles A home size office computer. The quality of this device holds valued production and offers service.

The Ally is a great way for me to get back into gaming without spending a lot of money on a standalone laptop or desktop. I hadn’t been able to play my steam library for a while and wanted to jump back in without a lot of expense. This plays everything in my steam library (including things that the deck said had a problem playing) but also is a computer so it streams YouTube, my other streaming services I watch, music, etc. and can connect to external peripherals with any USBc hub, no problem. Very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

Haven't used a handheld since my gen 1 PSP almost 20 years ago, so the ALLY is a huge step up. Performs perfectly for 2D games in my library. Works well for optimized 3D and slightly older less-graphically intensive games as well. Take a while to adapt to the interface since it's built on Windows, but has different modes depending on what you're using it for. Only 1 USB-C port, which is a bit limiting since that has to be used for charging and peripherals as well.

Very pleased with the performance of this model I opted to get the lesser model because of a good deal and I was not disappointed. It plays all the triple AAA titles I throw at it and is an emulation beast. Could be unrelated but I’ve been using a 1tb sd in the ally for 4 months and both the card and reader work fine.

This thing is pretty awesome! I bought it for my daughter but might have to get one for me (or commandeer hers!) Haven't had a chance to test out battery life or any super intensive AAA titles, but for my daughter's use it does everything she needs. We it hooked up to a dock and are able to use peripherals and an external monitor, no issues there at all.

it’s a great device only problem i have can’t run certain games the says can run on it like terraria lags some times but other then that its super nice to hold graphics are very nice quality over all is good little laggy at times battery life doesn’t last that long so keep it plugged in over all solid system with little upgrades needed

The Ally is fantastic! I am not a PC gamer, but I got this because I had an old PC game I never have been able to play so I wanted to see if this would allow me to. It works great! And the design feels good in my hand and the controls are very similar to an Xbox controller. I haven’t tried any newer games on it yet, but for my older game (1997), this works exactly like I had hoped it would! And it has the added benefit of being able to do anything that a normal desktop or laptop could do
