I wouldn’t buy it again. It lags, I constantly get something saying “Firmware Update Tool” and when I hit “Update” I get another “Firmware Update Tool” message again and it goes over and over. It also crashes when playing big name games. Then there’s the Memory SD Card issue that SO MANY people have had issues with. I’m scared to use it on my system. Even if Asus fixes it I still have to deal with it. Maybe I’ll go buy the Steam Deck.

Purchased this handheld PC gaming system two days ago. So far not too bad, but there are some little glitches and troubleshooting That I have been resolving to fix. Nothing serious only a few updates that were downloaded on the system so far. It is a little heavier than the one that I have at home which is a cloud gaming streaming service system. What are the dislikes about the system but it’s nothing serious is the corner where your palms are touching if those were rounder it would be much better to hold onto the system for a longer time. If I find anything else that I’m concerned about, I’ll advise my review.

I've spent over two weeks with this little but powerful guy. I've dove into reviews, made my own conclusions and can honestly say I absolutely love this handheld. Currently, I am using it as my primary PC and it's going great. The one true downfall to this console is the SD slot. I haven't tested mine but I'm terrified to insert an SD and fry it. The horror stories were enough to deter me. I've opted for a USB SSD instead and though, yes, it is bulky, it also works perfectly fine for my needs. I do wish I was more mobile given it's a handheld, but like I said, for my needs it hits 4/5 star rating.

I find this device very uncomfortable to hold in my hand. Joystick and button placement is just “off” compared to the comfort of a game controller. Had to by a silicone cover (Skull and something), and this makes it marginally more comfortable. Disappointed, overall. Had really high hopes.

I got the non extreme unit. After having it for 2 weeks, I’m one happy customer. After spending a couple of hours setting up and updating as well downloading the games I intended on playing on the device (Apex, L4D2, Dead Space Remake), I’m very surprised with the performance. Thank you ASUS for making such a beast of a device. Looking forward to seeing where this handheld is going.

Received this device as a Father's Day gift and boy what a gift it is. I absolutely love the device, I love the flexibility and power this device has even though it is not the higher end model. I do wish the battery had longer life but it is not much of an issue for me since I work from home and use it to game in my livingroom or bedroom where a plug is always available. I plan on upgrading the hard drive since 512g is simply not enough to install all the games I have on steam,EA and EPIC.

Honestly one of the best pc's I've ever purchased. It's the perfect weight with a good screen size for gaming. It's also great to use as desktop pc, but you'll soon see that it shines more as a handheld. I bought the latest Asus Flow Z13 to replace it as my desktop and use this as my portable pc.

This is probable the baddest gaming device i have had. I can get nothing to download. I know the internet is hooked up but when i try to download steam it tells me no net connection. When I try to play a game from x box it wont let me. putting it simply they should stick to laptops.

The Ally is fantastic! I am not a PC gamer, but I got this because I had an old PC game I never have been able to play so I wanted to see if this would allow me to. It works great! And the design feels good in my hand and the controls are very similar to an Xbox controller. I haven’t tried any newer games on it yet, but for my older game (1997), this works exactly like I had hoped it would! And it has the added benefit of being able to do anything that a normal desktop or laptop could do

This thing exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something small to take with me to Dr appointments to play games while I wait on my wife’s treatment to be completed. Having the ability to not only game, but also watch movies and use windows 11 to what seems a full capacity has allowed me to keep up to date on work as well. I cannot recommend this product enough.
