Brand new and sd card slot is faulty. Works off an on, but when works slower than slow

I love everything about this portable computer except the battery life when gaming. I've started bringing this along instead of my laptop. Add a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and enjoy.

This thing is pretty awesome! I bought it for my daughter but might have to get one for me (or commandeer hers!) Haven't had a chance to test out battery life or any super intensive AAA titles, but for my daughter's use it does everything she needs. We it hooked up to a dock and are able to use peripherals and an external monitor, no issues there at all.

Still learning the ropes. Apparently you need an Xbox controller for the Xbox Games Pass games(coming from a lifelong PlayStation user). However the accessibility is next level and once I understand all the tops I can feel the power behind this unit.

I thought these were going to be a gimmick then a nice sale came across my screen and i grabbed one. Boy was I wrong! Being able to play my pc games on the go was a game changer for me. I loved this one so much i wanted the Ally X. My brother had already used this one and wanted to buy it as soon as I would let go of it lol. If anyone’s really reading through these reviews and comes across this one, if you come across one of these for a good price don’t be shy about them. I ended up buying an Ally X and it is amazing. If you are on a budget or don’t want to pay out for the X these are still awesome.

I love this ROGLI ally. It plays all the games that I want and the 30 to 50 FPS range I can get some games running 60 to 100 FPS on older titles. So if you wanna play games like Minecraft or online games where you can stream the game directly to the Ally, this is ideal for that but if you want a little more horsepower, I suggest getting the extreme model as that will definitely play the titles with better FPS just look at the specs.

This device checked off all the boxes for a handheld PC. Its able to play console games (via remote play or the console cloud apps), it can play PC games (via Steam or Windows installers), while maintaining the Windows environment. The battery life is ok - as long as you remember this is a PC, and not like your cell phone. Basically if you are going to play a game, its best to have it plugged in. The fan noise is minimal and the graphics are great. It doesn't run as hot as one might expect, but I do take precautions for the SD card - and make sure if I am storing things on the cards, that I have good backups somewhere else too. Overall - I wasn't going to get the SteamDeck, and the Lenovo Handheld is too big. This little PC was worth the price.

It is great for gaming and runs fast. Setup of windows and accounts is timely, but once it’s done you can get right to gaming. After having it for a week the left joystick started drifting to the bottom of the screen. I used the ASUS warranty and it was shipped to repair center and fixed timely by them. Over all it’s a good handheld for gaming.

I purchased this device about a month ago and it has given me nothing but problems. My device will always lag and now when I try to play any of my games they never want to start up. I'm up to date with my updates and have tried anything possible to fix my device and it still does not want to work. I even had Geek Squad try to see what is wrong with it and they couldn't solve it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely am satisfied with the price I was able to get it for (400$). Gets a little warm and obviously the battery life is terrible, but it runs fairly great and haven’t had too many issues yet. Startup was a little worry some with occasional crashing and the time it took, but afterward I had no concerns. Wireless mouse is a little iffy when using the docking station, has to be within view and sometimes within a few feet of the Ally, but keyboard is fine. I did my research before buying, as you should too, watch youtube videos and read some reddit posts for the real thing. Comparable to the Steamdeck, it’s more convenient and in my opinion is the better option because of its features it comes with. But if you know your way around tech to get the same features and want to save a few hundred bucks, Steamdeck might be better for you. Overall I’m extremely happy with it and was able to set it up as a gaming PC in the airport while waiting for a flight and clean up quickly, also used HDMI several times to play it on a few TVs. Very portable and durable, runs games great and has good storage. Haven’t tried Cyberpunk 2077 yet, maybe I’ll come back with an update when I do! haha :)
