I order a half sheet cake didn't change anything on it paid on line went to pick it up it literally look like a first grader had decorated l did bring it to their attention and they couldn't do anything with the cake but they did give me some cupcakes so needless to say l was very embarrassed at the Bridal Shower but l can say this l have never got a bad tasting cake always good and moist and yes l will be order more cakes

Not the worst cake ever, but...

I was disappointed that the writing on the cake was so poor. It was sloppy and there was a spot that was messed up (smeared) on the lettering. Some liked the taste and some did not, but that is with anything. The cupcakes were a lot better so i will stick with those in the future I'd like to add pictures but don't see a place to?

Error on spelling

Purchased this grad cake for my daughter. The name was misspelled when I picked it up. Asked to have it corrected, worker made me wait while she finished up loading cakes to a cooler, then grabbed my cake to correct. She did not wash her hands or put on gloves to correct. She removed the extra letter and then slapped some chocolate frosting over it. It looked very poor, didn’t try to make it look better at all. Handed the cake over and sent us out. Flavor of cake was okay. Just quality and cleanliness a concern.

Cake Error

We went to order a graduation cake, was told they no longer take orders in store. Ordered a custom cake through the app, when received it said "congratulations" twice and forgot to write something we asked for. Now the cake looks embarrassing to look at. No thank you, but we will go somewhere else for a custom cake that we can order in person.

Cake errors

Sam's Club should have a supervisor/manager to verify cake orders. I picked up my cake & quickly noticed that the cake had a major error but I didn't have time to wait for them to make corrections. I was very disappointed!

Graduation Cake

Disappointed This cake looked horrible!! There was a large hump on one corner of the cake and it was very uneven. This caused a valley in the front middle section of the cake. The icing job was ALMOST comical. It was so bad. The flavor was great and the icing is always tasty. I picked it up on the way to the graduation so there was no other option. I would say if you order this pick up the day before so you can have time to fix it.

ISSUES WITH NEW ORDERING PROCESS

Had I not call my local Sam’s Club bakery to ask a general question about a cake that I will need at the end of July for a graduation event, I would not have known that the only way to now order a cake from Sam’s is to do so online. I was also told that it was required that the cake be ordered no later than 30 days ahead. Since none of this information is revealed on the bakery website, I had planned to order the cake in person or via phone contact a week prior to the event as I have done many times previously. Because I would not have been informed of known about the change, I would have missed purchasing the cake from Sam’ and would have faced additional stress searching for another bakery to meet my needs. Barely making the deadline, I placed the order online today. This was not easy. In fact, I spent more than two hours attempting to contact the bakery to find if my order came to them as I customized . No one would answer during my repeated attempts. (When I completed the order, it showed the original cake, not the costumized cake.) Finally, I was able to get in touch with manager Michael who was very accommodating. He went to the bakery while I remained on the phone and returned letting me know the bakery did receive the customized order. Ordering online is a real pain. So is having to order 30:days prior. Sam’s should offer the option of in person or phone ordering up to a few days ahead. Customer satisfaction she be key, especially since we pay a membership fee to purchase from them. I can only imagine however many customers will become/ have been irate upon learning that they are required to order 30 days ahead and only online once they have missed the deadline. This is in now way okay. The customers are the reason for Sam Clubs success. In fact, I now pay a significant increase for my membership compared to what paid when I first joined. Hopefully, there will be more options in which cakes are ordered.

Beautiful but

Ordered the baloon/birthday option, and the cake was absolutely beautiful. BUT while I loved the sprinkles on it, the mix they use contains a large and small ball sprinkle that was way too hard and will end up breaking a tooth. Wish they would only use the traditional shape sprinkle as they were soft.
