[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this A/C in June to combat the South Texas Desert Heat. It has worked wonders! I have especially enjoyed using the temperature setting, which allows me to maintain a desired temperature.

blows cold air across the room about 15-20 feet. Cools a large room down fast. We have flat roofs here so the heat in our house is really really hot and this thing does the trick really fast..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has been running non-stop for 7 weeks, works great. The heat in Mt. has been unrelenting! This AC has kept up very well.

Bought this to replace an old LG A/C of similar design and same BTUs. Works great. Some of the updates are nice: integrated control panel on cover, heat shield panels included, better insulation/protection of wiring in compressor housing. The programming is a bit outdated, though. All you can do is set a temperature and a countdown and it turns itself on. I understand they sell a Bluetooth version for automated home systems, but at the very least there should be a 24-hour programmable cycle. All in all, well worth the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought this to replace our 10,000 btu bedroom unit that just couldn't keep up with the upper 90's degree weather. first night we set it on 66 (because the other one was always on 60 ) and woke up freezing, we cannot set this lower than 68 or it gets too cold in our upstairs bedroom and bathroom. granted it was overkill for the roughly 500 square feet, but man do we love it. our electric has been better by a 100 or more dollars a month since we run this all day long and the main unit does not have to work so hard. the real test will be JULY and August. the installation i had to make some modifications, added lock nuts and fully threaded bolts for the brackets as the square portion of the machine bolts provided stuck out just beyond the thickness of the two pieces and you could not tighten them together, the instructions said to use the Lock nuts provided, but they were just plain old nuts. installation was otherwise straight forward.

It makes a lot of popping noises but I understand it is probably due to pressure build up inside causing the ducts to expand and this may make an audible popping sound. We upgrading from an old swap cooler and this unit is far superior, does a much more efficient job of cooling the house and we are very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it July, have had problems with it making all kinds of noises and not cooling the best ,it also draws a lot of electricity, had repair man come ,of course it was working when he got here ,he did nothing but stand there and look at it ,said it was fine and left. It still does the same thing that I called about, so not happy and I think they should replace it ,because it is just not working properly.
