This thing does the job and more! In my opinion, someone really out did themselves inventing this baby not to mention what they named it, this LG unit will definitely be a part of you living the good life. Real comfort and excellent energy Savings I tell you the truth, I hit the jackpot with this one.

I got interested in buying the LG LW1516ER because its' predecessor, the LG1515ER was the only 15,000 BTU window mounted air conditioner, listed by Walmart, that had no negative comments from customers. The new 1516 model was the same as the popular 1515 model only with several improvements added. One improvement was an energy saving mode. The other thing that I wanted was the largest capacity air conditioner, that I could operate on a standard 120 volt wall socket. And of course, I wanted a good price. After I purchased the 1516, and got ready to mount it. I discovered that the air conditioner pulled from it's case like a drawer. This aspect was a huge plus. I was able to easily mount the empty case in my window, then slide the air conditioner back into the case. After installing our air conditioner, I was pleased that I could run it, in the energy saving mode--set at 75 degrees, and could easily cool our five room, 652 Sq Ft, second floor apartment. Both my wife and I are delighted with the performance of our new air conditioner.

Purchased for an attached garage with two cinder block walls. Full sun, no shade in metro Denver. I've only had the unit now for about 3 weeks and every day it has been in the mid to upper 90s. The unit has performed very well and surprisingly quiet. On average I have seen a 25 degree temperature differential in the hottest part of the day. For reference, my garage is about 570 sf. Everything I had read in my research said to size up for walls/doors that have full sun exposure. Installation was very easy with a second person to lift the unit in place. The internals slide out on a single tray leaving just the outer frame to make mounting the unit a breeze. Mount the frame, slide in the tray, a couple of screws and put the front cover on. My only complaint (and isn't something that would dissuade me from purchasing again) is that the rear fins are completely exposed. Some type of grill or grate cover over them would be nice to protect against damage from the inevitable hail storm. Power to the unit was not an issue. I initially had it plugged into a standard 15a outlet but, have since ran a dedicated circuit to this unit. The lights in the garage did flicker when the compressor kicked in. If a garage is your intended use then I would highly suggest getting this on its own breaker if you plan on using power tools, air compressors or pressure washers that are on the same circuit (breaker). The unit was NOT damaged during shipment or on delivery. If LG reads this, an app for the product would be great. The ability to set program schedules for the unit like a traditional home thermostat would be helpful when this unit is used in non living spaces. Yes, it has an adjustable temperature guage but, being all about the convenience, I would like the unit to turn off

We've only had it for a week or two, but so far so good. Does a good job of cooling off our house. The remote makes it more convenient to use. Installation was not difficult

Fan is strong enough to knock you off you feet and the temp will keep your ice from melting in your drink

I am amazed at this little window AC. I have it on low cool and it stays ice cold in the guest room. It was light weight so that I, at 66 yes old, could lift it into the window. It was a very easy install. (This generation everything is made to break. Living on a fixed income there is never enough money to buy groceries. Let alone an AC in each window each yr. I hope this little guy puts all the other brands to shame. 🙏 ) I hope I am able to check back in with you all in a couple years, to say she's still running strong.

We purchased this unit for my mother-in-law. She lives in another city, and when it arrived, we packed up all that we thought we would need for the installation. The installation instructions are quite vague and a couple of fasteners were missing which made what could have been a simple installation more challenging. Fortunately, once we finally completed the installation, it performs well and she is finally comfortable in her home. It would also bean improvement if manufacturers understood that many homes do not have double hung windows. Kits to adapt to other window styles would greatly streamline the process!

Unit is now cooling approximate 900 sq feet of home. It works very good. This is a heavy unit and 2 people are needed to place it in the window. Otherwise install is straight forward. The recommended minimum width opening for install accounts for add on plastic adjustable side screens. Without them I installed in a 27 inch width window without problem. Operating noise is less than expected. Very pleased with total product.

Arrived with box torn up . A/C unit bent up and not operational . Did a return - waiting on refund . This was the second one that I bought . The first one is working fine .

Right out of the box the unit would not power on. Spent a couple hours mounting and assembling only to dismantle it and return it after it wouldn't power on. Customer service through LG was pointless. Luck of the draw I guess.
