Bought this as a backup for hurricane season and possibly for camping. Box was damaged upon arrival, but everything looked ok inside the box. The setup was easy with clear directions and everything needed for first use, except the gas...started on first pull. Pleased with purchase.

We ordered this generator in August and it was delivered in September. It arrived the Monday before Hurricane Sally hit the Gulf Coast. We were without power for many hours. I had done the break-in cycle on it when it arrived, so it was ready to go. We plugged our freezer and refrigerator into it and it hummed along like a champ. It used maybe half a tank of gas keeping our food cold during the outage. The generator is light enough to carry if you're reasonably fit. Wheels and a rolling handle might be considerations for future versions. It ran quietly. Our backyard has a privacy fence, and from the front yard you could barely hear the hum. Many reviews state that the generator started up on the first pull. Ours did not. It started up on the 4th. I plan to get a second unit in the future. We have a large 10,000 watt generator but it is very loud and not easily portable. Two of these iGens would power just about anything we'd need to run for a reasonable amount of time on less fuel.

Just got this generator a few days ago. Very happy so far with the ease of start, noise level and portability for its size. Been running some minor things and have been impressed with the noise level seemingly being a little quieter than my open framed Honda EB2800i. Hopefully the durability and life is there with this product. Happy so far!

I received the iGen 2200 as a gift, but I would have bought one either way because it is so easy to get going and use. The instructions are really easy to follow and understand. You have everything you need to start and maintain the generator right out of the box (except for fuel of course). The generator started on the third pull out of the box and the pull cord was really easy to pull. After the first start-up the generator fired right up on the first pull. I love the eco mode that saves fuel and brings the rpms down. The iGen2200 is so quiet, I could have a conversation right next to it. This is a great little generator. It's really portable and lightweight for what it can power. I am really happy and impressed. Great product!

I bought this so that my wife could use it if needed and it was super easy to set up and get running! Added oil that came with it, added gas and it started up after just 2 pulls of the cord! Runs super quiet and a great product for the price! If I ever need an upgrade I will look to use a Westinghouse product as this one has been fantastic!

I bought this genset a few weeks ago because a thunderstorm knocked out our power supply in the middle of the night. I need to use a cpap machine when I sleep so I looked for a small, compact genset and Westinghouse iGen2200 had a great review so I decided to try it. The day after it was delivered, a tornado watch came and knocked out our power supply again. It gave me a reason to open the box and power it up. I was able to power my internet router, charge our phones, use an fan and most of all use my cpap machine. It's very useful during a power outage. 5 Stars for me.

Very easy product to use. Started after only a few pulls the very first time. The economy mode allows for the unit to run at a quieter level while still powering all the items needs camping. A very basic and functional unit perfect for my weekend camping trips.

Since I've only used it one time, I can make no claims regarding long term reliability. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the build. Nothing looked chintzy, or cheap. It even came with a bottle oil, and a full set of printed manuals and other reference material. A rarity with today's products. My upper body strength is not the greatest, but I could carry it with my left arm without straining, I followed the clear quick start notes, and it started on the second pull. I was able to boil a pot of water in a 1000 watt pot while running a fan without a problem. I also checked that the 2 5volt USB ports worked. If this summer is anything like the last few, I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it.

I always look for good, clear, concise documentation for power equipment, and this inverter came with very good manuals. The machine is easy to use, the break-in procedures were thorough, and I am very happy. The access cover is difficult to get the first time: some things are not obvious. The screw and control knob fell of during first use.

I purchased this generator because of the great reviews that were online. I did all the setup per directions, started it and it ran well. I then followed the steps and placed a load on it. Still worked, I was excited. THEN, I took the generator on a planned trip where it was going to be v v cold. I made sure to check the oil, gas and that there was nothing to block exhaust. I pulled the cord and it started, GREAT!! HOWEVER, the moment I put a load on it (small heater 200w) IT STOPPED!!! I am going to try again to see if I did something wrong and if I did, I will revise this review. IF NOT, I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT OTHERS DON'T HAVE SAME ISSUE.
