Quiet steady power

Great little generator. It is pretty light and portable at 46 lbs and runs pretty quiet. The noise does rise some when its under heavy load but still way below a traditional generator. The advertised runtime is accurate. I got about 5 hours on a half gallon running under about 60% load. Nice stable power, everything I plugged in ran smoothly and as expected. It had no trouble running a fan large toaster oven and lights all at once. Should be able to add a small fridge on too, but haven't tried yet.

Good small quiet Generator for the cost

Bought a couple of months ago when power went out. Instructions are very clear and complete. It started the first time after 5-6 pulls on cord. It is quiet and doesn't seem to burn gas too quickly. Have not had to use for a large load such as our fridge, just lighting.

Lightweight, quiet. Just what I was lookng for!

We purchased this unit to provide occasional portable power around the house and more so to have power when camping if it isn't available. The unit comes complete with the required oil, a small bag of maintenance tools and very clear instructions on how to prepare it for use. Set up took less than 15 minutes to operational starting with the unit still in the box. We put it right to use powering some electric gardening equipment and it performed perfectly and ran quieter than the lawn tractor we were moving it with. The only thing worth mentioning is how the service cover removes (to add the included oil). Instructions say to remove screws and then remove panel. There are tabs on the cover that hold VERY tight after the screws are removed. I had to pull very hard on the cover to pop the tabs out. Hard enough that it felt like I was going to break or damage the cover. It eventually popped out and went back in without issue. Not a big issue, but just wanted to pass that along to future purchasers. Over all, I'd definitely recommend this unit. Quiet, easy to move around and has all the features and functions you need for a medium level power generator.

A hurricane standby generator

We use this to quickly restore power back to our refrigerator, deep freezer, and emergency lighting directly after a storm. We have a 5kw that takes a lot longer to get wired up to restore most of our home after a major storm. Thats what is so nice about having the iGen2200, its light weight and can be utilized quickly.

Excellent and quite

This is the quietest generator I have seen I have compared its noise level with other known brands and it beats them hands down. Will definitely be purchasing another with a parallel kit, you just can't get any quieter I don't believe and the volts are where they should be for running items of what ever you have within the watts that it produces. It started on the first pull after adding oil that's was provided with it and fuel. What more could a person ask for other then go purchase another.

Good overall for the price

Just got this generator a few days ago. Very happy so far with the ease of start, noise level and portability for its size. Been running some minor things and have been impressed with the noise level seemingly being a little quieter than my open framed Honda EB2800i. Hopefully the durability and life is there with this product. Happy so far!

Little Feller Saved My Fridge Food!

Had this for 2 years and ran it 3 times after losing power after thunderstorms. Used it to power my large Whirlpool fridge and my chest freezer so meats wouldn't spoil. Ran for 5 hours then off for 1 then repeated…constantly monitoring temps in the 2 appliances. In Econ mode, got about 12 hours of runtime per full tank (on a 25% load). Highly recommend if you're just looking for a small generator to run a few appliances until power is restored.

Easy to use with great features

I initially wasn't sure if I was going to keep this generator as I have another one, but bigger. I decided to keep it when I did use it because of the ease in moving it around and the power. I didn't understand the fuel saving feature until I used it. The engine will automatically idle up when the item calling for power is used then idle down when not calling for power. I LOVE IT!

Light weight, power for what I need

Got this as a Christmas present for myself. Was looking for a small generator to take camping in my small trailer and to be able to run my freezer during a power outage. This one fits the bill perfectly. It is light enough my wife can carry it to where it is needed and start it if I am away. Was impressed on how clean it was upon unpacking and the inclusion of the oil and funnel was a pleasant surprise.

Nice Unit but...

The iGen 2200 appearst to be a nice unit and has no problem running as much as my wifes 1875 watt hair dryer. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because it tends to "sputter" with no load. Perhaps this is because I live at an elevation of 3600ft.
