It's compact, quite, and simple to operate. We intend to use this for back-up power during hurricane season. I have a larger 6250 watt generator that takes about an hour to set up to re-power most of our home. This 2200 will allow us to get lights back on quickly and then have lights to get the larger system running. Will also use to tailgate or where ever portable power is needed.

Bought online and had to wait a while to receive generator but it was worth the wait. Like the fact that it comes with oil and funnel (Love the screw in funnel). Runs great and seems to work fine. Would highly recommend for backup power or just plain fun.

I bought this for both jobsite work and camping. So far I've only used it for camping and it works as advertised. It has all of the features of the Honda and Yamaha generators I considerable less money. Although not as quiet as the Honda, it's still quiet enough.

So my husband bought this and I thought he was crazy. It sat in box for awhile but we ended up losing power for a week due to the weather. It started easily, kept the fridge on, allowed us to watch tv and charge our phones/devices. It's a good portable size, even the neighbors came to check it out. They were surprised how many things we could plug in and it wasn't loud. We are looking into purchasing another because you never know with this Texas weather.

Just got this generator. Easy to setup and get running. Instructions are very good. Reasonably quiet and light weight. We'll see how it holds up, but so far it seems like it will serve my purpose of powering some smaller items for tailgating. For the price, I think this is a great alternative to more expensive competitors.

I had an older generator that was very heavy. It was also very noisy! As I've gotten older I had a hard time moving it when I needed it. I decided it was time to get rid of it. After doing some research I settled on the Westinghouse IGen2500. It's small and lightweight making it much easier to move around. And it's much more quiet than my old generator. It also consumes a lot less fuel. A couple of days ago we had a major power outage in our neighborhood when the main trunk serving it got fried. It took the electric company a day and a half to restore service. I used the generator for much of the time to supply power to my refrigerator, coffee maker, and my computers. It worked perfectly!

Started it up today and put a light load on it for the break-in period. I Will monitor how it holds up in the future. It is quiet and smooth running. I do not know how it will respond and hold up under a maximum load but will find out after breaking in period. I do not know if it will hold the maximum rated wattage limit. It is light enough for me to move around. Come back to me in the future to find out the results.

I bought the IGEN2200 based on other user reviews and the price at Power Equipment Direct. I haven't started it yet. I intend to use it for occasional power outages which occur in the winter. My house is wired with a transfer switch so the IGEN2200 will simply plug into the external port. The 2200 peak watts is enough power to handle the start-up surge of my refrigerator, gas furnace fan motor which is all that is required of it.

I have a problem with sleep apnea. My doctor prescribed the use of both a BIPAB machine and an oxygen machine during sleeping primarily each night. This equipment is critical to my health needs and cannot be interrupted due to a loss of power or otherwise. The Westinghouse iGen2200 is perfect for emergency power. It is easy to start and operate and is the perfect size for this application.

Just received my igen2200 to use with my small travel trailer. We camp at national parks quite a bit and the quiet operation is perfect for running our lights and devices! Great value for the price! Researching to see if there is a propane conversion kit available for this model. Would recommend!
