After setting up I ran it with no load for 20 minutes. Seemed ok. The next day I ran it with a lite constant load, engine would constantly rev up and down. After 2 hours I shut it off. The next day started it up and within seconds (with no power plugged into it) it overloaded and shut down. Awaiting reply from customer service.

I've been breaking in the generator and loading it at no more than 50% as specified in the manual. I'm in the first 1.5 hours of the 5 hour break in period. While idling it purrs, but under load it tends to surge. I'm hoping this will calm down after the break in period is done. I'm running brand new gas and have already changed the oil once to ensure any manufacturing junk is removed. I'm also running a little sea foam in the gas to clean out the fuel system, assuming that is the problem. If it continues to surge after 5 hours I'm likely to return it to the retailer. Giving 4 stars, as I'm still hopeful.

I bought this Westinghouse iGen2200 inverter generator for emergencies at home. This Generator iGen2200, is capable to run a regular house size refrigerator, 3 lamps, the Internet modem and two cellphone charges without any issues for 2 hours. It was a relief and my wife felt more secure and comfortable in having it. Because of it amazing capability and low noise, I took to my backcountry camping weekend. Amazing to have this awesome generator to inflate all the mattresses, charge our batteries and to provide lighting to our campsite. It was even better that I was able to buy it at a discounted price but now, that I have used it, I can say that I will definitely buy it again and I fully recommend this Westinghouse i2200 inverter generator 😁😉😎🤟🏻🇨🇦🍁 PS: Very easy to set up. Just follow up the instructions provided. No issues at all and it started up right away.

This is an exceptional machine. With gas prices on the rise This tiny time powerhouse will give me a half a day of constant smooth running power . I am even able run aaser printer off of it.. love it love it love it. .I live in the city and I can run it through the night and it doesn't seem to bother neighbors at theeast

Great little portable generator The 2200 was simple to set up - access to the oil fill was quick. I added a splash of gas and was running in less than 10 minutes from un-boxing. I use this for general use during camping with the travel trailer and for miscellaneous use when a little power is needed to run some lights, charge batteries, etc. I'll pair it with another 2200, or possibly the 2500, down the road. I'll need the parallelism to power the a/c unit in the camper. This unit is way better (quieter, lighter, solid) than my old yellow and black gunny, and it's just as good as the red ones. And, for some reason, the kids really get a kick out of charging their ipods with the 5V USB outlets.

Bought this earlier this month, and it arrived just in time for a power outage! Easy to get unboxed, add oil & gas - started on the second pull. Light enough to carry to my front doorstep for power; plugged it in and was extremely happy to have power throughout my outage!

I have an interest in amateur HAM radio and needed to charge radios and batteries when my solar panels are sleeping! Ive used generators for years in many different applications from outdoor functions to weekend festivals. I can honestly say I was pleasently suprised how effective this generator inverter actually is. Great for dry camping, or glamping this powerhouse will keep all of your devices fully charged all weekend for less then a few gallons off gasoline. Knowing these units can be run in parallel also has me thinking about a second one, eventhough I've only had it for less then a week! I dont need another one asap, but that is a keen feature. Having used a 'tool store' cheap generator that didn't last long, and after reading reviews on a plethora of different units, I settled on this one, and it was well worth the money! It's very quiet running in normal mode. It's first use was powering a Christmas parade float, in Eco Mode which made it even quieter. And since it's 4-stroke, no more mixing oil and gas and keeping track of which gas can goes with what device. Get this generator. You won't be disappointed!

Bought this product and everything was packaged nicely and arrived in good shape. After adding the supplied oil and fuel, the engine started on the 4th pull. Break in period went well and generator ran and functioned as described. Similar quality to Honda products that I've used.
