This is the second Westinghouse iGen2200 we bought. It is to increase the one we have from 15 amps to 30 amps using a twining cord. We chose a second small generator rather then one big one because of the weight. Less then 50Lbs each compared to 1000 Lbs plus for the larger unit. This one as did the first, after unboxing, adding oil and fuel fired up after 3 pulls. Extremely pleased.

Good value. Ran fine out of box. Definitely need to purchase a magnetic drain plug. Lots of material in oil after first hour of running. Good idea to change oil before the owners manual recommends- cheap insurance against engine issues and helps extend engine life. Proper break in will help. This looks to be made by generac. Good limited frills unit. Throttle down mode cuts exhaust noise significantly. Doesn't have a gauge for fuel qty and hours Like the 2500 model - but may be a positive as that can be one more item to break.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet due to having knee surgery but it looks like a nice piece and has the features and portability that I wanted.I have studied the manual and there is upkeep and maintenance that has to be done to keep it operating properly for a long time.It did arrive quickly and without any issues.Looking forward to trying it out pretty soon once I recuperate.

Bought at a discount about two week before a predicted 'rolling blackout' power-outage. Thankfully, I got it just in time, we ended up out of power for a full day, and the generator worked perfectly to keep my refrigerator running fine. Best purchase this year.

I bought 3 units in august 2020. One worked beautifully. The other 2 were opened in April of 2021, neither would start out of the box. Sams was great with replacing them immediately. The replacements both worked perfectly. Just a bit strange 2 out of 3 wouldn't start the first time.

Got the generator on sale so for the price, nice for small power needs. Would not have bought it at the regular price. Not big enough for 15,000 BTU AC on the RV which is why I purchased, but using in my out building where I do not have any power. Only 4 stars as the Choke and Run switch not working as instructed. I have to leave it in the choke position to keep it running. Email customer service almost a week ago but no response. Will try to call, so have questions about the customer service. Could be slower response due to Covid.

I live in a Hurricane Zone. I have a Honda EU2200i and I bought this iGen2200 as a backup generator to my Honda generator. I have a 6 Circuit generator transfer switch wired to my house. I plugged it in to test it out. This unit has no problem running 2 refrigerators, Lights (LED) in 5 rooms, 2 TV's, Internet Hub & WiFi, 3 Ceiling Fans, Security System, Chargers. I turned on EVERYTHING and it handled it just fine. I plan on running a small window A/C unit at night, when most everything else is off. Great Warranty, Quiet, Fuel Efficient & very similar to the Honda for 1/3 the price.

Was looking for a small and quiet generator for some concerts I play in the middle of nowhere as well as on the lake on our pontoon. Friend of mine bought one, showed it to me....and I was hooked! Very quiet, very good small generator. Can carry on a conversation 6' away without raising voice. Yes, you hear it from only 6', but you're not fighting to be heard over it at that distance. 30' away with exhaust pointed opposite direction, it can barely be heard at all. Starts very easily on first pull.

Easy to handle. Sips gas and is very quiet in efficiency mode. Bought two of these and ran them in parallel for 7.5 hours without needing to add gas. Actually, there was quite a bit of gas left in each tank. No problems powering three 7 cu. ft. chest freezers, each rated at 9 amps startup (1.5 amps continuous ). In fact, one generator could run all three freezers by staggering the startup of each freezer. Very happy with this generator at a fraction of the cost of a Honda.

First unit received had shipping damage (cracked exterior case). Sam's Club handled the exchange very efficiently. In fact replacement arrived before damaged generator was picked up by FedEx for return. Westinghouse iGen2200 started right up & powered a small space heater & refrigerator without any problems for break in period. Is nice to have peace of mind that I can keep essentials powered up in case of interruption.
