- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/22/2020The test arrived quickly. It was processed quickly as well. I had to contact customer service. They replied quickly and resolved my issue. The results verified some foods I know bother me as well as a couple I suspected. So I would say it was of value. Some foods that bother me I haven't eaten in years. So those foods didn't show up, just as expected.
Food sensitivity test
LWOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/18/2018While I was mainly curious about the results of my Food Sensitivities kit, I was really impressed by the level of customer service. I appreciated being able to email a photo of my sample to ensure it would be sufficient for the lab. Took out all of the guesswork and saved my thumbs from drawing another sample. #sweepstakes
Great Customer Service
escal100Originally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/27/2019This test was super easy to use and took less than two weeks for me to receive my results from the date of purchase (so including shipping time to me and to the lab). It has given me answers to chronic digestive and skin issues that my doctors did not have an answer for and I'm very grateful for it.
100% recommend!!
AlanaOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/21/2019I already hve a known dairy allergy, but I continued to suffer and could not pinpoint why. I'm so glad I ordered this kit, bc it showed that all the foods I'm using to compensate for dairy are actually making me sick- almond, soy, and peanut (peanut butter). I am now trying the elimination diet to see if there's anything else, but without this test, I had no idea where to begin or what was wrong with me.
If you are suffering and don't know what to do, try this!
PjOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase2/26/2019I've always known in the back of my mind that I had issues with dairy, eggs and grains. I would tell people and they would always respond, oh no it's probably just in your head. Sure enough, I took the test and the majority of my highly sensitive foods were dairy, eggs and grains. Also, whenever I would eat carrots I would get itchy. The only vegetable that I'm intolerant to according to this test is carrots. I highly recommend this, and I can't say enough good things .
Put my mind to rest!
Neicyd22Originally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/28/2018I got the food sensitivity test but after a month the DNA portion hasn't been completed so the test still isn't complete and I feel a little ripped off. That said, there were some interesting things I learned in the part of the test that is complete.
Timing needs some help
KJHOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase5/17/2022I have had stomach issues for a few years. This really opened my eyes to what makes pain worse. I was very surprised by my results. I have cut the food out that I showed intolerance to. It has only been a week but I have truly already noticed a change.
I would buy this product again it has been very eye opening.
JodOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/4/2019I have begun to eliminate levels 3 and 2 reactive foods from my diet. In just a few short days, my inflammation is going away! My joints are not crackling like they did before! My feet aren't hurting as much when I get out of bed. I had no idea that the foods I was eating were the basis of my health problems for so long. The test is a wonderful and simple way of discovering route cause allergy sensitivity problems! Thank you for inventing this affordable test!
Knowledge is power...I am glad I tested for food sensitivity
Deb Executive CoachOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/9/2020I used the Food Sensitivity test and it was wonderful! Everything came super fast, the blood test was quick and they made shipping it back very easy as well. I got my results back so fast, even though I did this over the Christmas/New Years holiday time. The results were so informative and eye opening. I loved afterwards that they offer help and advice on how to go about an elimination diet.
Easy, quick and super informative!
CourtneyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/31/2018I received this test as a gift after experiencing weird reactions to mushrooms and wanted to pinpoint what else I was sensitive to. This test told me I had a high reaction to a food that I eat by itself constantly and feel no sensitivity towards, while I had medium reactivity to mushrooms, a food that makes my stomach hurt so badly it feels like the worst food poisoning attack. Perhaps others may find this more informative but it was not useful to me.
Not informative or useful for me
NedaOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/20/2019I was amazed to learn I was "off the chart" for egg white sensitivity, and will be cutting my use of eggs in half at least for now. Since I did this test shortly after breakfast, it might be better to have done the test first thing in the morning. In spite of instructions and using the two devices, I couldn't get enough blood to drip on the paper and had to resort to pressing my finger multiple times right to the paper.
It's good to learn which foods affect one's health
MarOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/29/2019I ordered this in a moment of frustration with some food challenges I was having and trying to plan an elimination diet. I later saw that professional medical associations do not endorse the validity of this test and say it is a waste of money. I decided that I was ok to have spent the money given how desperate I was. The lancet was much more foreceful than I am used to and I actually hurt myself and bled quite a lot. So, be ready for more than a subtle finger stick. When my results came back, they did align with what I thought I was sensitive to, so regardless of the science, to me it verified that I wasn't imagining things and that yes, I do need to move forward with removing that element from my diet to not have symptoms.
Worth it for me
MollsmomOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/31/2021Simply follow the instructions inside the kit and watch the online video. Prepare everything ahead of time. Once mailed they received the kit right away and sent over the results. A sensitivity test is helpful because it helps you understand what you experience reactions to certain foods and it confirms any suspicions you may already have.
I would recommend this product
MaryannOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/17/2018I ordered the food sensitivity test at the suggestion of my allergist! I have terrible year round allergies to all grasses, all trees(except cedar), all weeds, and most environmental allergens like mold, fungus and mites. After over two year of weekly injections, I was not making much improvement. My allergist suggested I do a food sensitivity panel to see if some of the foods I ingest are compounding my problems. My results have enabled to eliminate and/or limit certain foods in my diet that we're adding to my issues without me even realizing it! After making these changes based on my results, i feel better than I have in ages!
WELL worth it!! I'm so glad I took this test!
ShannonOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/4/2018I mailed the package out Tuesday am and had results Friday! Also, I compared my results with an intolerance test I'd taken a few years ago and they came up with some of the same foods as intolerant (milk & almonds). So it must be true. Sadly, I have some new intolerances. Now onto healing my leaky gut!
Super fast & accurate results
NancyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/30/2020This was my first time ever taking an at-home lab test (food sensitivity). I was initially very nervous, especially when it came to using the lancets, but the instructions in the test kit and on the website were very clear and offered helpful advice. I only ended up having to stick my finger once! I also opted in for text notifications after mailing everything back to the lab, which was super helpful in keeping an eye on things. I received my results after only four days! Overall, a very cool experience; I'm excited to see what else I can learn about my health!
Easy at-home lab test for peace of mind!
EmilyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/19/2017I used it to figure out if i had any sensitivities (more) in my nutrition. I have had food allergies for a while but this test gave me a huge insight as to what things in my diet i should additionally avoid. Super easy to use and got results back in less than a week. It is also very descriptive and informative about future food preparation.
I would definitely recommend this test
LindseyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/18/2018I am very glad I took the test. I have some peace of mind that I'm not just making it up when I say dairy doesn't agree with me. But I will say that for the price tag I just felt like I didn't get a huge bang for my buck. I do not know how much comparable tests cost or how much it takes to run the tests. But maybe other price points?
Great info, but underwelming
Cameron the College StudentOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/4/2019I was really impressed with how fast I got the results back. Before taking the test I suspected that I had some level of gluten intolerance, so whenever I would try to avoid gluten, I would end up consuming a lot of eggs (for breakfast, in particular). But my stomach would still feel bad, so I figured I wasn't gluten intolerant. Little did I know that my sensitivities were from gluten, wheat, AND egg whites! Since taking the test I've ruled out all three, and have noticed a significant difference in my overall physical well-being. It's so helpful to know and understand what was causing my stomach problems for all these years!
Quick results that make sense
KaylaOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/13/2018With a simple finger stick blood test, I was able to find out that I have a sensitivity to dairy, gluten products, bananas, oranges, 3 kinds of fish and green beans. These are all foods I eat regularly but it explains why at 30 my skin still hasn't grown out of it's acne phase. I recommended it to everyone in my family. I never would have thought that I'd have an issue with those foods. The only way it showed up is in my skin, and I bet an occasional headache. Maybe being really tired after a lot of bread but who isn't right?
10 out of 10-super easy and helpful
