- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/7/2021I was very surprised at the results of my test. I have had food issues most of my life, but more so in the last 10 years. I was expecting High Reactivity for a lot of foods but had none. Only 1 on the moderate level which I did not know I was sensitive to it. Don't eat it often, but thinking back, yes it did affect me. Most of the foods on the Mild list I did know I cannot have, but there were a few that surprised me. Gives me a great idea of what to do with my diet. This is a very informative test.
Very interesting
GloOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/6/2019I am phobic of needles and blood and this test was a great solution for me since I am so scared to get tests done by the doctor. I had a family member help me stick my finger using the kit and it was easy and quick. Results took longer than expected but they were very helpful and I found out I'm sensitive to some things that I never would've guessed.
Unexpected results- glad I took this test!
CarsonOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/13/2019I really liked being able to use the product by myself and not have to go to get the test done in another place, it was simple to use, with well written instructions and had a lot of information. Where I wish I had more information was in the results part, I would like to know what moderate and mild sensitivity mean, if this could mean it affects my lifestyle or of I can live with it, what it is recommended I do if I have a strong sensitivity to a food group and how I can go about it.
Great product
Gladiator ZOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/11/2021I could not afford the full range of food sensitivities so I ordered the one that has 96 different food tests. I was surprised at what I eat causing sensitivities. I have a jar of cashews on my desk that I snack on and discovered that it is one of my food sensitivities. I feel more in control now.
Very successful
CrystalOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/24/2020This was a great experience from ordering, getting the package, creating my sample, and getting my results. I think it was worth the price. Pricking my own finger was a challenge but it only took me about 5 minutes to psych myself up. I recommend this!
Got the answers I was looking for!
NoglutenallergyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/8/2020Was so happy when I found Everlywell and could order this test online without consulting a physician first. Even though I was surprised by the results (foods I THOUGHT I was sensitive to, I was not) I am glad I did this. Eliminates one more thing I need to worry about. Next up, Metabolism Test!!! It was super easy to collect my blood sample because the directions were crystal clear with video backup!
Now I Know
GlassDivaOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/30/2020I couldn't do the elimination diet outright- it was too much to tackle. This gave me some insight into the 3 big areas to focus on. I'll try eliminating those and then plan to re-test in a few months. I was sad to see after the fact there was another test w/more options. I may do that again in a few months after making some adjustments based on the first.
This was awesome!
JessOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/4/2019It's hard when you go to the dr and they tell you well you're not allergic to this or that. By doing this I got to see exactly what my body has reactions to. I have been feeling sick every single time I eat and I have tried eliminating foods etc now I have a place to start. I have used my results to work out a new diet and hope this will help me feel better!
It was helpful
ChelsOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/4/2021I didn't read enough before I took the test, which is my own fault, so when I first read my results I was confused. I was disappointed begat the results were not presented in some form I could easily print out to peruse. I did recommend to a friend and then bought an allergy test, too. The test was really easy to administer and return.
Needed to learn more before doing
Repeat customerOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/26/2018I took the food sensitivity test because I've been having some issues with reactions. I wasn't sure exactly which foods and hadn't taken the time to do an elimination diet. This test put me on the right track and hopefully I'll be able to enjoy food again like I used to!
Very satisfied customer!
MJOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/25/2018[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: I've been trying certain elimination diets to help with some chronic issues, and basically have been firing without a target; This test is very helpful in determining where my focus should be. Some of the results were genuinely surprising. Cons: Would like a little more in-depth analysis on how I should structure my elimination diet. How many days off, ect. Also if it's possible to link the symptom & food that would be cool (i.e. response to coffee usually comes in the form of a headache, vs. bloating for milk, ect.). Blood sample method not easy. #sweepstakes
Very Interesting Results
No More MattOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/21/2018I question some of the results since I know some of these things bother me. Now I question whether it is objective or subjective on my end. I was 100% sure dairy and soy bother me, but now it is saying eggs are my nemesis. I will use this as a data point to learn what works the best for me.
Very Useful Information
boyddlOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/12/2020The test instructions were easy to follow, especially after watching the video on how to do it. Also, got the test quickly, and the results back quickly. When I received my results, I was surprised that the 3 foods I tested high and moderate on were foods I ate almost every day. I am starting an elimination diet, including all high, moderate, and mild reactions, and will see how it goes. I have gastrointestinal issues and am hoping for some relief.
Results were surprising
KathyLOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/30/2017Shipping: The kit took 10 days to get to me, and 5 days to get back to the lab so that was hard to wait for! I would think that for the price of this test that they could use a faster delivery service. Testing: I had never used a lancet so I was a little nervous, but I followed step by step and the directions were pretty easy to follow. Results: These were ready within 2 days of the test arriving at the lab. I have one High reactivity food, and 7 moderate reactivity foods. Some of them I suspected, some I did not! The suggestions on the website for elimination diets provided me with a good idea of how to start testing my sensitivities. The hard part now will be sticking to that! The one suggestion I have would be to put more links to articl...
So glad I did this!
cmoriOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/9/2018I received the kit a few days after ordering it and the directions were easy to follow. I then sent it back and received my results a few days later. I really like the text and email updates that notified me when my kit was received and when my test results are ready. The report was easy to digest and I like the feature to download the report for your doctor as well. I've already started recommending it to family and friends.
Helpful & Insightful Body Info That Everyone Should Have!
NicoleOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/25/2020I was diagnosed with IBS 6 years ago and have struggled on and off with random flare ups (horrible bloating, pain, cramps, gas). Truthfully, doctors have been of no help and provided no clear direction or feedback. I identified certain foods during this time frame that were clear issues, but really wanted a better medical report of what could be triggers. Taking the food sensitivity gave me a full understanding of the foods that can cause issues and the severity. It REALLY helped me dial in on identifying things to avoid. I have been avoiding my high sensitivity triggers and have ZERO issues since then. This is SUCH a value for the small price and the knowledge it gives you!
Highly Recommend This Test!
T LynnOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/20/2019While experiencing unexplained abdominal discomfort that would come and go I also suspected a connection with food sensivities. Not sure of my offending triggers with previous trial food elimination challenges I made the decision to order the home test . I wanted to see if the listed comparisons agreed with my comparisons. I had a better overall picture to share with my physician and was suprised to see egg whites being my highest reactions. This gives me the ability to tighten my diet, omit the offending foods and reintroduce them observing reactions results to share with my physician.
Sensitivity test
MindyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/28/2018Definitely learned more than if I hadn't done the test, but a more comprehensive list of foods tested would make the results more useful and more details about the food and how each food generally ranks for most people would be neat too. A more robust dashboard to more easily visualize the results would be useful.
Interesting, but would like more info
CUOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase11/11/2017I had spent two months testing foods during an elimination diet. I wanted to do the food sensitivity test, to see how it aligned with what I learned and maybe introduce me to some foods I hadn't eliminated that I was sensitive to. It's interesting. But pricey for something that isn't quite as thorough as the diet. But not pricey for a test that's usually way more expensive through conventional means. Nightshades caused major reactions during the diet that didn't show up on this test. But they did show up on an ALLERGY test years ago. Dairy was pinging everywhere, which I also confirmed on my diet. Eggs, green beans, and mushrooms tested positively for me. Which is weird because I didn't really react much to eggs on the diet. And I had been ...
Better for those who haven't done the elimination diet
JennyOriginally posted oneverlywell.com - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/8/2021I purchased the food sensitivity test, but it requires a lot of blood. The first time I didn't give enough blood but they did send another kit for free so I could try again. They also provided a lot of tips so I could produce enough blood from finger pricks. It was still a challenge and two needles wasn't enough - had to use my own device to get enough blood. Second time worked and got my results quickly.
Requites a lot of blood
