It's perfect for my needs.

Had a recent extended power outage during a storm and my basement was filling with water. My older gas powered generator wouldn't start, probably due to me leaving old gas sitting in the system for several years. I realize that I'm the problem, and needed to buy a generator that ran on propane or I'd just ruin a new one. This generator starts easily on propane, runs well, and should start again the next time I need it. It's compact and is enough to power what I need.

Nice!

Have used the generator only once so cannot comment on it's long term performance. However, I am well pleased with the performance as has been used. I was impressed with it's size/power/weight ratio, the quality of build, layout of controls, indicators, etc. Very pleased with the low noise level.

BRAVO

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my dual fuel generator yesterday. Only had to add included oil and follow easy to understand instructions. Using propane it started 1st pull after priming. Quiet and smooth running. Feel like a little kid with a new toy. Dual fuel is a big plus since I live in a bit of a remote area with power outages not uncommon and getting snowed in always a possibility.

2500-Watt + Dual Fuel + EZ Start + CO Review

I use this generator with propane only. I feel much safer storing propane tanks than storing gasoline cans. It is nice to know I can use gasoline if there is no propane available. The generator is used for emergancy power loss. I purchased several 12 gauge extension cords to run critical items. The generator will simultaneously run my refrigerator, small freezer, internet, TV, TiVo, and several LED lights without overloading. The longest cord I use is 75 feet. The generator is much quieter than the generator in my RV. Many people mention starting with propane as an issue. I follow the starting instructions with 5 choke pulls. I typically have to repeat the choke-run sequence 3 to 4 times to get it to start on propane when it is cold. The temperature was 35 to 40 degrees each time I cold started the generator during break in operation. I like the eco mode and find the generator instantly speeds up as different appliances cycle on. If I know I'll have a high power demand I take it out of eco mode bu pushing the eco button. The generator size is very nice for easy storage and moving for set up. The Champion cover is good quality and easy to use. I recommend this generator for emergency situations. I am sure it works great for camping as well.

I love this genny

Right out of the box, this is impressive. Light weight, easy on the eyes. I like the dual-fuel option. Propane is very convenient. Portable genny will provide power anywhere you need it, even in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet. No annoying loud motor running next to you while you're working with it. Highly recommended.

Great

We bought this to run the AC on our camp trailer while boondocking. Works great after we added a soft starter to the AC. Love the propane option so we don't have to deal with gasoline, but nice to also have that option in a pinch. Lightweight and small size.

excellent

I bought 2 of the 2500-watt inverters to power my RV. They replaced a 4500-watt Westinghouse dual fuel. The Westinghouse was awesome but to bulking and heavy to move around. It's now relegated to the home backup generator and theses two are now the primary for the trailer. and I don't have to store gasoline in my garage anymore. These are great generators. starts 1st or 2nd pull every time. I had a Champion 1500 watt and 4000-watt generators. They sat for almost 7 years with ethanol gas in the tanks. Snowstorm hit two years ago. I broke them out and they both started 2nd pull. The gas I had stored was over 10 years old, so I did a full maintenance on both and sold them for about $100 less than what I paid for them. I changed the oil in them, cleaned the air filter and serviced the carb. they ran great but I did not like storing gas in my garage.

It really works great

We looked and searched for a long time before purchasing this model. Duel Fuel is the most important factor, because we do not want to carry a container of gasoline on our camping trip. We performed all the break-in procedures before the first trip, and went on a 6-night trip with a travel trailer. The generator fired up easily with the trailer's propane tank, noise was tolerable and it did not bother other neighboring campers. The CO shield is a plus, it automatically shut off generator occasionally, so then we moved the generator to a more vented area. We ran it everyday for 1 to 2 hours, it generated enough (or far more than what we needed) electricity for the night to use in our trailer. Look forward to going more trips with it in the future.

Reasonably priced; minimum power for small RV

Bought this unit to boondock on weekends with small RV. Requires careful power management. AC (16 amp start, 11.4 amp run) or microwave (13 amps) or water heater (12 amps) must be run alone, with only minor additional load (TV, refrigerator) etc.); if converter (8 amps) is on with any of the above, generator will overload. It MIGHT work with soft-start on AC, but I do not have one installed, yet. Power management would also be facilitated with voltage and current display.

Easy to carry and enough power for camping

I are repeat buyer of Champion products. I bought a 2500 watt inverter Dual/Fuel just for camping days and I was very pleased. Champion makes quality products and stands behind their products with a great warranty. My generator has always started easy and run great. I only run my inverter on propane. The brand make honor to his name. CHAMPION
