So far, I have only tested this out on propane, but it is really light and super quiet. You can have a conversation with it at your feet. I'm looking forward to having electric on our next camping trip. This is the second Champion Generator I've owned, but what keeps me loyal to Champion is the customer service. I needed a simple part on a unit out of warranty, and instead of charging me for it, they just sent it to me. I can't say this would happen again, but that one time made me a loyal customer.

I bought 2 of these and the parallel kit for RV camping as well as do it yourself projects. I love the ability to use propane so I do not need to bring extra gas cans. They are quiet, powerful and very easy to start. This gives me the option to use one generator or combine them with the parallel kit for running the RV air conditioner. This system is perfect! They are light weight to move them around easily. They start quick using the proprane fuel tanks ! Very Very impressed!

Just went through hurricane beryl and gas was in short supply. Having the option to run on propane also was a life saver. If you are in the market for a generator to run a small ac in the texas heat this is the one. Go duel fuel you will not be disappointed.

I bought this generator to run our camper ac in emergency situations and as a backup when the power goes out at home. It runs great on propane with low odor ( of course use us it outside ) and can easily power a RV ac with a micro easy start or a house refrigerator . It runs pretty quiet and is super easy to start. Just move the dial to choke and pull two or three times , move back to propane and it starts on the first pull every time. I highly recommend this product . It is built really well. I did not realize that champion made so many different products. If everything else is made as well as this little generator I will be looking at their other products as I need them. After having used a number of 5-6KW generators over the years I decided to take a different approach to home backup power. This Champion inverter is powerful, quiet and affordable. It easily handles simultaneous power reqr for my portable a/c and main refrigerator as well as numerous other lights, fans and accessories. It's so much easier to use than my large gasoline powered units. Lightweight and quiet so it's easily re-locatable to any outside location. I exclusively use propane so there's no gasoline storage or shelf-life issues to maintain. Fires up easily and provides smooth sine wave current to connected items. Best generator/inverter I've ever owned or used.

I purchased the 200962 almost 3 years ago and put over 200 hours on it. I was so pleased with it, I purchased the 201183 a couple days ago. I use them exclusively LP only. Note that I do add an hour meter to my units for maintenance. I put the two units together with the parallel kit to power my camper. It did great powering the AC, battery charger, fridge and microwave at the same time. I think I will be very happy with this set up instead of having to lug a larger unit around.

This is my second purchase of this particular Champion generator. Pros include: lightweight, uses gasoline or propane with an easy switch from one to the other, gas drain on carb, pairing capability, 12VDC plug source, low noise level, economy run mode, high 2500-watt output for such a small engine, includes a funnel, oil and USB plug. Cons include: location of oil drain, harder to pull start. Tips - replace the spark plug with an NGK BPR5HS; make sure to do the 5-hour break in with oil changes. All in all, the best small generator I've ever owned - and I have had quite a few.

In my career, generators are oftentimes required, and the sweet spot of size/weight and noise level are ideal. This generator checks all the boxes, and is fun to use. The yellow color scheme and design stands out, as well. I will recommend to colleagues, clients, and partners, till the end of time!

This generator is excellent. When the power went out for a week our family luckily had this generator for us to borrow. We were able to keep our refrigerator going and plug in our hot water heater during the outage. It was a life saver. It was very easy to use and worked so well that we bought our own.

This is our 2nd Champion generator and only because our other one was stolen. We decided on this smaller one just for convenience and a lil more quiet. This was purchased for the football boosters, it works great and gives us the power we need for all our football needs. It's easy to start and use.
