power up on first pull

Got my Champion 2500 dual fuel inverter after the last hurricane Beryl that left power outage for a week. This small generator is light weight, portable and reliable. It starts up after the first pull. Runs pretty quiet as compare to other generators.

Fast, reliable power when I needed it

Bought this in April 2003 and kept in the box until tonight. Thunderstorms knocked out power for several hours. Everything was in the box, unpacked it, read the manual on how to add oil, hook up the propane and starting. Instant power to keep the refrigerator humming. I was very happy with the ease of set-up, the performance out of the box and the cleanliness of using propane.

Satisfied User

Bought 2 inverters model 201183 and a parallel kit about 9 months ago. Have used many times and have never had a problem. Follow the instructions and they start up in 4-5 pulls. Dual fuel but I only have used propane and one tank lasts a LONG time. Parallel kit is easy to set up and is great when I need a little extra power.

Perfect size

We recently got our generator and my husband loves it. It's perfect for primitive camping when we want to run our Starlink or watch TV or just keep our batteries charged without running our big generator that uses a lot of propane. And we love that it's gas or propane and quiet so it won't disturb our neighbors.

Light and quiet

Arrived well packaged. I tested using propane and it ran nice and smooth. I connected a Keurig coffee maker and it powered it just fine. I needed to prime it in choke mode about 8-10 times on very first start before it would fire up on the run setting. No complaints so far.

Excellent Inverter/Generator for our camper

This inverter/generator is perfect for our little camper. We prefer to be self-sufficient when we camp and mostly depend upon our 400 watts solar energy to keep our 200 watts of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries charged. This unit provides the power to charge our batteries when there's not enough solar energy due to clouds or tree coverage. Being able to power the unit with LP eliminates having to carry spillable gasoline and the odors associated with liquid fuels. This unit is only 39 lb and is very compact. It's easy to start and is quiet so you don't disturb your neighbors or other campers who maybe nearby. I highly recommend Champion Dual Fuel Inverter/Generators for all your power needs.

Awesome dual fuel Inverter generator!

bought this little guy at farm and fleet to use with a travel trailer. light enough to move around, and fantastic that i can run on propane as well. always have extra propane tanks while camping. works great even powers AC unit (12k BTU). saw silly reviews where folks had issues starting on propane. just follow the instructions, prime the unit, and it starts on the first pull.

Works as expected

I purchased this inverter to run a 15K BTU A/C on my travel trailer using propane. The A/C is a 15K Coleman-Mach with Soft Start installed for this purpose. I pull this trailer with Chevy Suburban so I don't have space outside the vehicles to store a generator/inverter filled with gasoline, so I went with dual-fuel to run only propane. I followed the directions to fill with oil, hooked up the propane, three pulls on choke, then started with a single pull. Ran it in ECO mode for a few minutes to warm up then plugged into the trailer. I turned on the A/C to high and it started right up with the inverter set in ECO mode and automatically increasing speed to run the A/C. I ran the A/C for a couple of hours with the A/C cycling off/on and the inverter cycling the up and down in ECO mode. Quality looks great, documentation is good, so I expect the inverter will do what I need it to do without needing to use gasoline, but can run on gasoline if necessary.

Great, but missing something.

I only had it a day. It was very easy to set up. Watched the video about the 5 hour break in time and varying the loads. Which had me thinking why doesn't this have a simple hour meter to help with maintenance intervals. Also I didn't know before I ordered, but the parallel links to connect two generators together have square ends where other brands are standard round. I don't know if there is an adapter to work with my brother's non-champion generator. I'm using propane and it was easy to start. It is way quieter than my open frame generator.

VERY IMPRESSED!!

I bought 2 of these and the parallel kit for RV camping as well as do it yourself projects. I love the ability to use propane so I do not need to bring extra gas cans. They are quiet, powerful and very easy to start. This gives me the option to use one generator or combine them with the parallel kit for running the RV air conditioner. This system is perfect! They are light weight to move them around easily. They start quick using the proprane fuel tanks ! Very Very impressed!
