The gazebo itself is fine and good quality; however I do not recommend Sam’s installation. I don’t know how they vet the companies but the company who did our installation was a joke. They initially sent ONE person to do the install. That person took it upon themselves to alter the gazebo in installation. The company had to order new parts and after probably seven trips to the house finally got it installed after a two month period. I purposely hired someone to have it done quickly and my husband and I could’ve had this done way faster had we not paid for installation. The final quality of the work is equivalent to what I would’ve done and I’m not a professional.

Great product at a reasonable price! Make sure to read and follow instructions to the T. That made assembly very easy. Also do yourself a favor and pre stain the entire gazebo before you put together. Looking forward to may years of enjoyment

I've had an excellent experience with the Backyard Discovery Saxony Grill Gazebo. The cedar construction is sturdy, attractive, and looks great on my patio. It provides plenty of shade while grilling and does a great job keeping the rain off, so I can cook comfortably in almost any weather. The assembly takes some time, but all the parts are well labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. Once it's anchored, the gazebo feels very solid. I also like the built-in shelves and hooks—they keep my grilling tools organized and within reach. Overall, this gazebo has completely transformed my outdoor cooking area. It looks like a premium product, is built with quality materials, and has become the centerpiece of my backyard. If you're looking for a durable, great-looking grill gazebo that's worth the investment, I highly recommend the Backyard Discovery Saxony.

This review is actually of our XL Saxony Grill pergola…just finally finished installing last week. The pergola was easy to put together. Instructions were very clear, and 3d view was very helpful. My wife and I put as much as possible together in preparation for our sons joining us to connect the four posts and add the roof…it now houses our original outdoor kitchen. It is our 2nd Backyard Discovery pergola (you can see in the picture, behind the Saxony XL, our Arcadia Pergola, which we use primarily for concerts and movies). We love it. My fiance and myself built it in a day. Pretty easy once you get started. I have already referred 2 people to get them as well as we are in campground. Love it

Absolutely love our patio cover, bought the accompanying bar as well, completely finished out our space, compliments flow when guests arrived couldn't be happier!

Already had this unit for 2 months and it has been such a great addition outdoor area. We live in South Florida and needed a gazebo over the newly updated BBQ area to protect it from the sun and the rain. Once the gazebo was completely up you can feel how sturdy and solid it sits on the surface without having secure it against the wall, it can free stand with no additional support. After an extensive research this unit by far proved to be the more high quality gazebo and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow with all hardware clearly marked. This has transformed the backyard to even a better space in our home and enhancing the look of outdoor space. Some of our visitors have been so impressed by it that they are planning to add one to there outdoor space.

First they delivered it to our front driveway and did not let us know they were there. They blocked our car in the garage and we had to completely unload the boxes because they are too heavy for two people to move. The instructions are mostly pictures with little explanation and do not tell you what order to put some peices together. We discovered we were missing 2 pieces and when we contacted Backyard they said they would ship it out the next business day. 3 days later and it still has not shipped. We wanted to finish it over Memorial weekend but that didnt work because of missing parts. Also you will need at least 3 people to lift the roof up. 4 would be better. Finally I installed our gazebo on a patio that is sloped to drain water as most are. It would be nice if you could purchase extra plastic feet to allow the the gazebo to to be level. I had to fab a 1-1/2 inch cedar extension.

I purchased my Backyard Discovery Saxony XL grill gazebo to for our outdoor grill station. All of our parts were in great condition and install was pretty straightforward. It's great having a place to cook and serve hot off the griddle or smoker . Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Assembly was at least a 3 person job over the course of a couple days. Helpful to put up temporary supports during connecting the walls together. We got the gutter and mosquito net also. This has been a wonderful addition to help shade our sunny concrete patio. Now we get to enjoy! The only issue we had was with the mosquito netting. They give 3/4” screws to attach the track which are too short to get aligned even with a longer bit. Highly recommend a magnetic bit or little fingers to get those rails up. It was by far the most fiddly part of the job.
