The structure is the perfect size for my particular application Assembly took some time and muscle over two weekends. I selected prearranged safe stopping points for each day until it was complete, if you’re patient and take your time it will go well. At one point you do require four people to start the standing up process however after that three people are adequate. The nice part is it is large enough to fit my suburban without any issues.

Great product at a reasonable price! Make sure to read and follow instructions to the T. That made assembly very easy. Also do yourself a favor and pre stain the entire gazebo before you put together. Looking forward to may years of enjoyment

This review is actually of our XL Saxony Grill pergola…just finally finished installing last week. The pergola was easy to put together. Instructions were very clear, and 3d view was very helpful. My wife and I put as much as possible together in preparation for our sons joining us to connect the four posts and add the roof…it now houses our original outdoor kitchen. It is our 2nd Backyard Discovery pergola (you can see in the picture, behind the Saxony XL, our Arcadia Pergola, which we use primarily for concerts and movies). Quality is very good. Looks great! Assembly is best with 2 people and takes a few hours. Polyurethane all wood parts first. Everyone who has seen it wants one! I put it adjacent to the Backyard Discovery Norwood. Wish they would fit together without a gap.

My sons and I assembled the cover over a two-day period and had no issues with how all the components fit together. In past experience with structures like this, we always found issues with holes not being drilled in correct spots or something else not fitting the way it should. In this case, we followed the instructions (which were well written and illustrated) and did not have anything not fit as it should.

I’m very satisfied with my purchase. All the hardware and instructions made it very easy to assemble. The cuts are perfect fit and the quality is great. Best of all my wife and kids love it and enjoy it and I can grill anytime and my family can enjoy lounging on our free time.

We bought our grill gazebo about a month ago and were able to put it together this weekend. It took us about six hours. Most parts lined up well, some needed “coaxing”. Overall we are very pleased with the results and love the way it looks on our patio. It is our second outdoor structure from Backyard Discovery.

Wonderful product. Easy to put together. Parts all well marked. Shipping is an issue. Notified me of delivery date...was two weeks away. Ok, no problem. Delivery date comes...no delivery...no contact. After I contact them, I am scheduled for next delivery in another two weeks.

First they delivered it to our front driveway and did not let us know they were there. They blocked our car in the garage and we had to completely unload the boxes because they are too heavy for two people to move. The instructions are mostly pictures with little explanation and do not tell you what order to put some peices together. We discovered we were missing 2 pieces and when we contacted Backyard they said they would ship it out the next business day. 3 days later and it still has not shipped. We wanted to finish it over Memorial weekend but that didnt work because of missing parts. Also you will need at least 3 people to lift the roof up. 4 would be better. Finally I installed our gazebo on a patio that is sloped to drain water as most are. It would be nice if you could purchase extra plastic feet to allow the the gazebo to to be level. I had to fab a 1-1/2 inch cedar extension.

Purchased this on sale for $900 off the gazebo. Purchased with the assembly. Gazebo arrived, however no contact from the assembler. Spent several hours on the phone with Sam's Club trying to find an assembler. After no success even after they supposedly reached out to vendor we requested a refund for assembly of $1220. We were told we would get it in 5 - 7 business days. Followed up after 8 business days and no refund. Sam's Club says the discount was on the installation and only wanted to offer $300 back. The item is fine but Sam's Club and Vendor will rip you off on the assembly. Find somewhere to get it.
