sleeping on lumps
After a couple months my first mattress loosened at the top fabric and made this roll the mattress top layer did,t stay uniform and flat so I exchanged it out now the second one has done the same thing I'll be returning this mattress because it's just not worth the money if it can't stay smooth and flat to sleep on. I'm the only one sleeping in bed and I'm small so this mattress shouldn't do this.
Hi Ann! You’re right, this is unacceptable. We can’t imagine how this may have happened, but if you allow us the chance to speak with you, we would like to make this right. Please contact us at (385) 256-9674.
fiberglass mattress
My home is infested with fiberglass! The fiber glass was unleashed when I decided to remove the zip cover it came with. Now a $600 mattress is costing me thousands of dollars in damages as the fiber glass is on every surface of my home! My children who are 5 and 6 had been complaining of itching. With a flashlight I am able to see the shine of glass on everything! DO NOT PURCHASE
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to reach out and share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience. We understand being concerned about the use of fiberglass in a mattress and would be happy to provide some additional information that we hope will be helpful.First, with respect to your children's health, if you are concerned we always recommend reaching out to your doctor.Next, for some context regarding the fire barrier, the continuous glass filament is woven into the fire sock fabric (Nylon/Rayon). While the barrier is a form of fiberglass, it's classified as a non-hazardous material by OSHA. Many companies currently use a fiberglass fire sock as it is an approved material. While we have no reason to believe the fire barrier is inherently harmful, it is quite delicate and could break off into pieces if the cover is removed (which is why we don't recommend removal of the built-on cover for any reason—it is not machine washable and the fire sock is an important safety component we want to be kept intact). So that we can best assist, we would like to encourage you to reach out to our dedicated Sam's Club Serta team at (385) 256-9674. They will be able to provide some additional information and potential options or assist with a warranty claim if needed. We hope this help. Best, The Serta Team

Excellent Choice
Awesome mattress
Just get it!!
We're newlyweds who have been sleeping on a free, gifted to us mattress and box spring for two years now until the box spring finally broke. For the past two nights I have been miserable, sleeping on the bed leaning at an angle and have had horrible back and neck pain. I just bought this bed earlier tonight at Sam's, and took it home and within about 2 minutes or less from unrolling it, it was fully inflated. I just made the bed and the comfort is immediate. It's so supportive and comfortable. I highly recommend. My pain is GONE!!
Foundation or not?
So the product description states that the mattress is designed to work with any type of foundation. Then you open it up, and in bold letters the tag it states ‘This mattress is intended to be used without a foundation.' Would've went another way with my decision if I knew that.
Hi Jerry. Thank you for your question. If the mattress will be used without a foundation or box spring (ie: most likely with a platform bed), you will need to add a solid platform on top of any open slatted mattress support system that has spaces between the slats that are greater than 2 inches or 5 centimeters. If you have any other questions or would like to speak to our team directly, please contact 1-888-240-1945.
Not so firm mattress and now lousy night sleeps
I bought this mattress a year ago and it now leaves me with an achy back and hip every morning. I have always purchased my mattresses from Sam's, but this was such a disappointment. If you are looking for a firm mattress, this is NOT the mattress for you.
Hi there, we are sorry to hear that the mattress is not fitting your needs to provide you with a better nights sleep, we thank you for your feedback so we can work with our product teams to craft products that better fit your needs in the future. For some extra support, we recommend using a Firm Latex topper, this can add a bit more firmness to the mattress. We hope this helps!
TOO SOFT
We have been using this mattress less than 30 days and are both waking with neck and back pain. In addition, we are already seeing indentations in the mattress. While the mattress is comfortable, it is just too soft and having indentations this early is scary for 2 years down the road.
Only lasts 2-3 years
We bought a queen-sized version of this mattress at Sam's Club because we liked how the box had wheels and could roll it out to the car. It looks nice with a quilted pillowtop but unfortunately it is lipstick on the pig. The mattress starts out great but quickly deteriorates after a short 2-3 years which is ridiculous for this price point. The pillowtop has now shifted and has blown out the sides. One side is so bad that it sticks out and interferes with walking by and/or getting into the bed. We would take it back to Sam's Club but have no way to transport it so we'll just warn others to stay away from this mattress. This is not the first run-in with the formly legendary Serta brand and it appears they have not just outsourced their manufacturing but their quality as well. 1/5 stars for these reasons.

1 of 3 reviews. Unboxing / rollout
In the box, it's pretty heavy. I'm a 60 yr old woman with good strength and I did this solo. It was 2 tries to lift it onto the foundation. Serta includes an envelope slicer to help with plastic outer layer and the mattress encasement. There are several layers of shrink wrap around the outside. Find the edge and position at the head of the bed and unroll from the bottom toward the foot of the bed. The mattress will begin expanding one the shrink wrap is loosened. Remove the shrink wrap or cut all 4 sides of the encasement and pull shrink wrap and encasement down from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed, then off. There is plenty of room on all 4 sides of the encasement, so no worries about nicking the mattress. I'll sleep on it tonight after 12 hrs of leaving it alone. 2nd review in 1 month for sleeping comfort.
More like Quick Sand Than a Mattress
This bed is extremely cheaply made. The fabric covering the springs is so thin, I can grab them through it. The mattress is a hybrid, but when you lay on it, it feels like nothing but squishy, sinking, cheap memory foam. It's the kind of foam that is hard to roll over on because you feel like you've sunk down so much you have to roll out of a hole. I don't know what purpose the springs serve as there is no support of any kind in this bed. If you lie near the edge of the bed, you will sink in significantly more and that's saying something considering that when I lay on my back, my hips already sink at least two to three inches causing tremendous pressure on my back. I could go on about my back ache, and the crick in my neck this morning, and how I had to sleep on the couch, but I will spare you the details. Long story short, this mattress is terrible and will be returned. I called the "special" Sam's only number before purchasing this mattress and spoke to two different agents who knew practically nothing. That really should have been my first clue. This was my first time purchasing a Serta, and I can't see myself ever doing it again.
