After determining we liked a medium-firm hybrid bed, I found this one with great reviews and decided to give it a try. In fairness, our old mattress was far beyond its expiration date, but this sleeps like an absolute dream in comparison. It took a few days to get used to sleeping on a slightly firmer surface (our old mattress was a pillow top), but I find that I'm sleeping cooler and much better than before. I'm a back/side sleeper and have felt appropriately supported in both positions. I would say it is solidly medium-firm - you sink in a bit, but it doesn't have that deep memory foam sink feeling. It's been about a month now and we're very pleased with this purchase!

I expected it to be a tad firmer, but I've been sleeping on it for 2 weeks w/ my 100lb dog and I like it more now. It is sitting on a slatted metal platform frame, no funky odors to deal with, I am happy with it and have no problems recommending it to someone else.

I absolutely love this mattress. I've only had it a couple of weeks so I don't know the longevity, however, I went shopping at mattress stores that are at least 3x more expensive and they felt the same as this one when I tested them. I already had an adjustable base which I love (bought from Sam's). I find the mattress firm enough but also the top layer is soft enough to cushion my hips and shoulders so I don't wake up in pain. My husband likes a firm, flat mattress so he is not as happy as me. He likes a regular mattress that stays flat all night. It's a matter of preference.

Decided it was time to try an adjustable base, so went all in with the mattress and new bed frame (all from Sam's Club online). Shipping speed was incredible! Bed frame arrived first, then mattress, then base (felt bad for the FedEx guy - seems like he could have made one trip). I decided to try the hybrid (coils and memory foam) after reading good reviews and learning it's compatible with the adjustable base. Strange that it's delivered in a fairly small box and grows into a mattress. I'd hoped to lower my bed a bit (to accommodate aging dogs), but the 12 inch description didn't ring true. The mattress grew to just over 15 inches. (Fast forward two weeks and the dogs are learning to use a new bed ramp!) It's very comfortable with very little movement. I'm learning the sweet spot when it comes to the pillow tilt and foot angle, but keep falling asleep (this may take some time). I was a little worried about reviews that mentioned a chemical smell, but I didn't notice any scent (other than that “new” smell, but then again I sleep with two dogs in bed!) I did let the mattress rest on the frame for 24 hours after unboxing it before taking it on it's maiden voyage. Super happy with my purchase!

This mattress is great! After unpacking it and placing it on the adjustable platform it fully expanded in short order. It is very comfortable to lay on and there was no odor whatsoever. It is built well and has great support even along the edges of the mattress. I would recommend it.

I ordered this online through Sams.com. It came within 2 weeks and arrived undamaged. I was a bit surprised when it was delivered that the packaging was different than the ones they sell in the store. Those boxes have wheels so this box was a little challenging getting it in the house from the porch (it's heavy). I do suggest having two people to set it up. There are no side handles on this mattress. There was very little odor when i opened the mattress. It inflated quickly and I was able to sleep on it that night. I read the reviews before buying this mattress.. I know when it comes to mattresses each individual has his own preference so comfort will be interpreted differently. I personally think the mattress is a little firm and I don't feel as much of that memory foam layer but overall for the money it seems to be a good mattress. I have had it for 3 weeks now.

Great value, well known brand. I bought this to use on my adjustable base and is my first hybrid mattress. It is rated medium to firm, however I find it quite soft – especially sleeping on my side. It does seem like a well constructed mattress, with very good ratings. Mattress comfort is very subjective, so obviously from the ratings this mattress is perfect for many people. I personally find it a little too mushy. I have slept on it approximately three weeks and have adapted. I considered returning it for a firmer one, but think that will just be too difficult. For the price point I will keep this for a while.

Nice, but a tad softer than I expected. My last mattress had big depressions from where I would lay. This one does not...that is the best part. I would like it just a touch more firm, but it is MUCH better than what I had.

This bed is tooo soft and it's supposed to be firm, not only that - the queen size looks life a full??? I feel absolutely dumbfounded. I look and thought well, its gonna expand...it didn't. I've been trying to call Sam's club to see how to return it. I need to find that FIG, Ghost or something. My body hurts in the morning because I'm folded into it.

I feel that this is way too soft to be considered a medium firm mattress. I have back issues and this should not have the word firm in it to any degree. Very giving at the entire edge too. For the price, its not a bad mattress, just dont expect a firm, medium firm or any degree of firm support if you have a bad back.
