This is the second one I have purchased. My first one lasted several years. When it finally gave out about six weeks ago, I ordered the same one again.

We love our new trashcan! It's a large size to hold all our kitchen trash. Its so convenient with the motion sensor! I would definitely recommend this product!

I’m loving my new trash can. No more dirty lids, the size is wonderful. No more full trash cans before the end of the day. I just hope it is study. Time will tell on that issue.

I've had mine for over two years. Still works just fine. I DID ...however... have to reinforce the battery cavity with a piece of thick, hard cardboard .inserted tightly... with duct tape... because the battery cover fell into the trash within the first year and was forever lost...(probably because my son usually takes out the trash and doesn't do it with care). The battery can slip loose when you take the top off consistently to get the trash bag out of the can. You have to make sure that the battery stays ALL THE WAY INSERTED.. which could help some of the people who are giving this product a poor review. I don't give up so easily and I guess I'm mechanically inclined. Hope that help some of you.

Didn’t realize the can would need 3 batteries so had to go buy them so I could use it. If I had known I would have ordered them and had them ready when the can was delivered. Also did now read anywhere the can would need a bigger size garbage bad than the usual 13gallon bags easily available in the club.

Bought two last year and loved the sensor.......now I have to turn it off because it has developed a mind of its own. It sometimes goes up and not down, it quite often makes weird noises and goes up when no one is near it and we have to turn it off at night because it makes noise all night long. My husband found a complaint page on ninestars gatbage cans, sounds like we are not the only unhappy campers. Too bad, loved it when it worked

Bought this trash can on sale the first time thinking it was just a stainless steel trash can...imagine my surprise when the husband asked me why it needed batteries! Was elated to find out this one opened on its own! I had to have a second one and putchased it at regular price because I loved the first one so much!!! They both have worked with absolutely no problems at all. They have really spoiled my family and now when we go to other people's houses we expect their can to open for us!!! Love this product!!!

I've had this trash can for 6 years! It has been through a entire house move where it got dented but we were able to get the dent out easily. I can't say enough good things about this trash can. The extra volume is a huge plus as I now live in a rural area where you have to take your own trash to the dump. I saw a couple of remarks about trouble finding bags. I have always used Sam's 33 gallon trash bags which work great! The extra space in the bag when I remove it is perfect for pizza boxes or anything large that you don't want to put in the trash can because it will take up so much room. If this trash can ever does stop working, I would purchase another one without hesitation!

I love this trash can, I am cripple and it being 22 gallons is a blessing! I no longer have to have someone take the trash out every couple of days, I can now make it a week with it's large capacity! It would look good in any kitchen, utility room or where ever! The sensor has spoiled me, hate the thought of having to open a trash can by hand!!!!

This trash can is a great size. I’m really glad I trusted my instincts and ordered it despite some of the negative reviews—they don’t seem to fully understand the dimensions. It’s very wide, and while it might not look tall at first, once you put the lid on, it’s as tall as a standard kitchen trash can. I use 30-gallon trash bags, and they fit perfectly.
