I set a reminder on my phone to review this after having it a year. I went from a traditional mattress + box spring on a simple frame to this hybrid mattress on a zinus smart base, so that was quite a change. I have now been sleeping on it for a little over a year. I was used to sleeping on a pretty firm mattress for most my life but found as I've aged that I was waking up with sore shoulders and hips. I'm a side sleeper. This is much softer than I had but I don't find that bad. You sink in a little bit but you don't have a you-shaped impression in the bed like I've experienced on a straight memory foam mattress. That being said, it's a little more effort to roll over in bed. One thing I was looking for and got in this mattress was less transfer of motion when my partner gets in or out of bed. The traditional mattress had quite a lot of movement that could be very disruptive. I debated for a long time between the hybrid and full memory foam with being unsure if the motion would be a lot better with the memory foam. I really wanted the extra support of the hybrid so I was pleased at lack of motion transfer. I am overall happy with this bed and would recommend to anyone that does need a bit softer on the pressure points.

This mattress checked all the boxes. It is the first mattress we have bought from Sam's. The quality seems good but we have been sleeping on it now for a few months and it is definitely too soft. NOT the medium-firm it says. I'll be looking to return this one and might need to look at an actual mattress store.

The best mattress I have slept on by far! The memory foam on top of the mattress is a cool gel and I feel it first thing when I lay down. This was an important part of my purchase as I often get hot at night and wanted a bed that would keep me feeling cool. So far I've only have for 5 days, but I look forward to going to sleep every night on my new mattress : )

This mattress is ok. I've had it for a couple of years now and tend to sleep in the same spot because my child and dog also sleep in my bed a lot. I am noticing that the area I usually sleep in is starting to have a different firmness than other parts of the bed. I was hoping that it would last a lot longer.

We like a soft mattress but this one is WAY too soft. In the process of returning it.

It says 12 inches of padding but only 10 inches with a tape measure
