Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 70" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN70TU700DFXZA forNice size.
we were excited to get our t.v. and we've enjoyed it for the most part. what we don't like about it is that it only has two hdmi ports and when watching a dark movie we aren't able to adjust the brightness to make it brighter to be able to see at all. also, when we attempt to use our amazon fire stick it will automatically change the input to the port or soundbar is in. we had to buy a hdmi switch to make it work.
Jalisah: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. Samsung is aware of the problem, and a new firmware update will be released soon to address this issue. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit. You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens. You can turn off automatic HDMI switching, point the remote at the TV and input Mute, 7, 2, 9, Exit. No indicator will appear on screen after putting this code in. To test if the setting has changed, turn on a connected HDMI device. I hope this helps. This TV os all I wanted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this TV for streaming, it has all the apps I needed and more, the set up was so simple and fast! Image is very clear and you can customize in details. TV is light and thin, easy to install and carry. I love the fact it can work with Alexa. Overall with all the features and price I can say that is a great deal!
Great Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Samsung for everyday use. I have just about every streaming service and it's easy to set up and get my binge on. There have been some quirks but once figured out, I haven't had any issues. The sound and picture are great. Love this tv.
Tv is good but HDR...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV is really good. Colors, brightness, resolutions works really good. 4K upscaling is works like a charm. Sounds are pretty good too. e-Arc supports so if you connect an external speakers for Dolby Atmos, you are good with this tv. The only issue is when it's playing HDR contents. Brighter images are brighter and punchy but darker image are too dark and brightness in HDR reduces overall.
Hi Dharun, Thank you for your review of the Samsung TU7000 TV and feedback on the HDR mode being too dark. Please know are here to help you! If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic. Or manually adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and more. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings. You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can manually select Minimum Brightness to adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection. Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Stellar picture quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having my last samsung tv for over 14 years I finally upgraded to a smart tv. I ended up getting a great deal on the crystal uhd 58" at bestbuy. I thought the picture was good on my last TV, but this one blew any expectations i had out of the water. Bright vivid colors, clear picture, and everything on the screen looks almost real. Overall, I am very happy with the t.v. However, there are a few things I didn't particularly care for. For instance, the remote control does not have a speech recognition feature. The only way you can use voice control is under accessibility setting, which is extremely annoying and I do not recommend. It is very limited and is geared for people with disabilities. The other thing that disappointed me was the quality of the built in speakers. I kind of expected a little better from a brand like Samsung. Granted most people have sound bars these days, so all is well as long as you have one hooked up.
Samsung TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After purchase we really enjoyed this TV with everything built in and especially the Samsung plus channel's that are provided for free as long as you have internet access, scrap your cable and use this its awesome!
Great Smart TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tv! Switched over from the V brand, and Samsung has been seamless with very few issues. Easy to navigate and easy to follow. The settings are great for high quality and high performance but also allow an easy switch to being energy efficient. Would recommend 10 out of 10 times!
GREAT FEATURES ON THIS SAMSUNG MODEL
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS TV SET IS USED IN THE DEN, IT WAS PURCHASED TO REPLACE A 55" LG UNIT THAT DIED AFTER 2 YEARS. I DECIDED TO TRY A SAMSUNG INSTEAD OF ANOTHER LG BASED ON THE COMPARISON OF FEATURES. THE ONE FEATURE THAT I REALLY LOVE ABOUT THIS SAMSUNG MODEL IS THE ABILITY TO MIRROR MY APPLE DEVICES WITHOUT NEEDING AN ENGINEERING DEGREE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. THE OTHER FEATURE I REALLY LIKE IS THE EASY SETUP OF THE BLUETOOTH SOUNDBAR. A+ ON THESE. OF IT IS VERY EASY TO OPERATE AND SET UP AND I REALLY LIKE THE PICTURE, CLEAR AND SHARP WITH THE 4K RESOLUTION.
Very Modern TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung TV is such a great TV for your living room to make it look so modern if you have it hanged up on the wall! The display is great, but not bad, I like how the colors are bright and crisp to the eye. I got mine in 55' which is more than enough to add to that pair it with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro you are going insane how it is as if it were a cinema. Nothing wrong is with the display if you wanted to know. Pretty average price for a 4k TV.
Improved and nicely updated
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We previously owned a Samsung 42 in tv and decided to update to this 43 inch because of all the updates and upgrades. How convenient that this new model has an updated remote with a convenient NETFLIX button. Which I've already used so many times. There are so many cool new features but my favorite by far is the filmmaker mode which is totally new and an amazing upgrade from the older movie scene or I called it aoP opera mode. It was so annoying because the quality was best but that mode that made it look like the camera wS constantly moving and made my eye hurt. Now you can get that awesome picture quality without the moving camera feeling. Bravo samsung I love it!
