Needed a rubber mallet to secure casters in chair bottom. One gas pump cylinder is cracked and one of the knobs is the wrong size. Chair is wobbly w/o correct knob. Could not get thru to Customer Service by phone so I sent an email. Still waiting for parts replacement.

I purchased this because of the “Big & Tall” feature. I'm pretty pleased with the comfort given that I paid several times more for my last chair. There was a damaged part and I'm into Week #2 finalizing a warranty replacement. If you're in a similar situation and can't finish assembly, I'd recommend taking it back to a store.

Fairly easy to assemble, only difficulty for me was due to the [heavy] weight to place the seat on the base. I read the directions first, put the wheels/base together where I wanted the chair; when I got the seat in the room, only then did I see additional information on the bottom of the seat. It would have been helpful to have ALL the information in one place. Seat height works well for me and stays up. [My old chair would slowly sink.] So far so good, but haven't had very long. Seat size is generous.

The La-Z-Boy Alston model is as comfortable as expected. I'm 6'5 but do notice my legs (thighs) overhang the seat of the chair a little more than my last chair and the seat back is not high enough to support my head as I lean back. Be sure to double check the dimensions of the chair before buying. The installation was relatively easy.

I purchased this chair after breaking my last one in 14 months. Being just under 250 lbs, I was looking for a chair that would more than support my weight and be comfortable. I figured going with a well-known brand and choosing one meant specifically for people my weight and height (I'm 6'3) would be my best bet. I received it on April 23d and built it on the 24th. In the 24 days that I've had it, I'm less than impressed. I work from home full time and am on a lot of calls. Just moving and readjusting in the chair causes the loudest creaks I've ever heard. I have to make sure I'm on mute before I move, otherwise the other people on the call will hear it. Beyond that, it is also not nearly as comfortable as I was hoping it would be. The seat cushion is already starting to flatten and the plastic arms do not feel sturdy at all. I made sure all of the bolts were tight, but this did not help. I honestly do not expect this chair to last 6 months before I need to replace it.

After working from home for the past year and a half, my husband was suffering from back pain due to not having a proper chair. He is 6'4” and 270 lbs and has a job where he sits most of the day at his desk. He broke two smaller chairs and needed something that had support and could withstand heavy use. We gave this one a shot and are not disappointed. It's sturdy, well made and has great cushioning and support. After using it for a few weeks, his back pain is gone and he's not worried about this chair breaking. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy, comfortable office chair!

Says ten year warranty that's a lie

My husband loves his new chair. Its great for his back and his tall body.

I've always had problems with chairs holding up due to my weight. This chair is built solid.

I felt that the seat was too short, to mid thigh, and it was on a slight incline, I was sliding off the chair.
