This may sound weird, but the feature I like the best, is the lighting. LG put the refrigerator light in the front, where as my Samsung refrigerator had the light in the back. With the Samsung, when it was loaded and I opened the door, very dark inside. But now, with the LG, I open the door and a burst of light! In

Only had the refrigerator for about a month. My initial impression is very favorable. It's quiet. The ice-maker design being fully incorporated into the door is clever and does not impinge on shelf space. Temperatures for refrigerator and freezer are accurate and distributed evenly throughout the unit. Time will tell if the unit is reliable and I'm hoping it is.

New fridge in June

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge in June. This is during the pandemic and appliances are hard to get. By November, the ice maker is broken. The compressor needs to be replaced. And I think the sealing ? Needs to be replaced. The problem is being worked on but it has been a couple weeks. It looks like about another week still...

Ice Maker Problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator late 2017. The first two years we were very happy with the purchase but slowly but surely the out put of the ice make began to diminish, Eventually it got to the point where we needed a service man to look for the problem. Fortunately we had taken out the 5 year extended warranty. The ice maker was replaced and for a short time ice production returned to normal. However a few months later we realized once again our ice maker was under-performing. After two more trips from the service man the problem continued. Our most recent visit from a repairman (the fourth) we were told we had the temperature settings too low and it was causing the water line to freeze and then thaw causing our ice making problem. After adjusting the temperatures he left and while we began to have ice again, it seemed smaller than before and still wasn't making ice consistently. After a couple of days I discovered the bottom of the refrigerator was cover with about an inch of water. We are now waiting for our fifth visit from the repairman. The refrigerator itself has been fine but the ice maker is driving us crazy

Don't do it! Compressors go out

I love this refrigerator and I paid closer to the retail price listed of $3500. Just two months outside the manufacturer warranty the linear compressor went out and it cost me $1200 to get it fixed. Another year later, some kind of fan in the freezer area went out. I deeply love the design of this fridge, but if I could go back and pick another refrigerator, I would. After the compressor going out, I just crossed my fingers daily, hoping that the replacement stays good. I also bought a matching LG stove that has been a complete hunk of junk and if I could go back and buy either of these again, I would my LG washer has been great

Purchased almost 6 years ago and the compressor stopped working suddenly. Multiple lawsuits re this and LG would not do anything. The filters are very expensive and don't last.
