No light in bottom freezer - buy the cheaper model

Don't buy this. Buy the cheaper one - hundreds of dollars less - that has just one freezer compartment with a sliding tray. The bottom freezer drawer in this model has NO LIGHT, so it's apparently for overflow long-term storage. Half of the top drawer - what would be in the the sliding tray of the cheaper model - is wasted with ice storage, which needs lighting like a hole in the head. I'm going to use that half for frozen food and put the ice bin in my master bedroom closet for shoe storage.

Ice Cubes Limited

I like the 2 freezer drawers. Much better than one large freezer drawer. But there is very little room for things like gallon milk containers and other large normal things. And the ice is very limited. Most refrigerators like this put ice in a basket in the freezer drawer, as well as dropping ice cubes through the outside slot. This refrigerator has a small container of ice that only drops through the outside slot. And the cubes of ice get stuck in the slot occasionally. Make sure that's ok with you before you buy this item.

Great Fridge but not great ice

Does LG sell an in-freezer ice maker addition for this model? We run out of ice constantly because the door dispenser holds so little ice. I cannot believe that a giant fridge like this only makes enough ice for drinks for a dinner for four -- once.

Cosmetic damage upon delivery ARRIVAL

This fridge came to our home with slightly used marks, including the glide and serve tray as cracked, and the were cup bottom stains in the refrigerator upper part. Also, there was cosmetic damage on the left side wall has two wavy bumps, this unit does not look like it was brand new, so dissapointed....

Worst Company and Refrigerator EVER

We have had this refrigerator for 3 years. We had no initial problems with it then on Aug. 1st it stopped keeping things cold. We called the LG service repair line and for the next 30 days, we played a game of service apts being made and cancelled. Our refrigerator took them 30 days to fix. It was the compressor. Look at their FB page so many people with the same complaint. This is a known problem with this company. Others reported they couldn’t get a nonLG service repair to commit to fixing it because LG fails to pay them. DO NOT BUY anything from LG!

I’ve come to the conclusion that this refrigerator and most LG products are now complete trash I just can’t believe a few years into owning this refrigerator. The amount of things that have gone wrong with it or broken on it. The waterline constantly has a slow drip from the front of the roof refrigerator, Door seal has gone bad, constant state of inconsistent temperatures throughout the fridge, have already had to replace the compressor on it After a terrible experience with an LG washing machine and now this, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another LG product

Good Storage, Poor Quality LG Product

We purchased this refrigerator two and a half years ago as we loved the dual drawers, the look and the space it provided at a reasonable price. When it works, it’s a great refrigerator that holds a lot of food for a family of 4. But it has already begun to fail after only 2 1/2 years. The first issue that we have is the top drawer suddenly builds up frost out of the blue and the fans were making noise. This went on for a bit. I had a technician come out and there was heavy ice build up on the fans which he defrosted and said it’s a seal issue as all the other parts were functioning correctly at the moment. So we replaced that ($700 later) and two weeks go by and it’s happening again plus the refrigerator portion is now not cooling properly on the top half. Now have to get the technician back out to rediagnose the issue. I’ve never had a fridge fail like this as usually it’s the ice maker that fails. I would not recommend this product and I am now questioning whether I would ever buy an LG product again as their quality has gone downhill.
