Nasty pickles

What is this world coming to. Even the pickles have changed. The juice turns cloudy white after you open them. The pickles have some kinda white stuff on them. This is unacceptable for these food companies to serve inedible food. I should just grow my own cucumbers and pickle them myself.

Mt Olive's brand is tarnished by this item.

After years of enjoying the GALLON jars of Mt Olive whole dills, I'm sorry to report... you might do yourself a favor buy finding a better brand. Why? Because these are now made from oversized, poor quality cucumbers. The insides of pickles are often hollow/separated and almost always "gooshey" as if the cucumbers were stacked too deep, beginning to rot, or both. And I'm not talking about 1 bad jug or me being a super picky person. Cut one down the middle and see for yourselves. I wrote to the company twice but they only said sorry and here's some coupons. I didn't really want the coupons as much as I'd hoped they'd realize maybe they've pushed their profit-making to the point of severely damaging no less than their brand itself. So getting tired of yukky pickles, I tried a big jug (not a gallon but 80 oz I think) of Walmart's Great Value whole dills. They were great. They were not over-sized, no problems w middles of pickles, and you can tell the variety of cucumber they use to make them is higher quality than the Mt Olive. (good, tight, bumpy variety) Much superior. I noticed that the Walmart brand and 80 oz Vlasic appear to be exactly the same so beofre writing this review, I just sent another letter to Vlasic telling them the story and that they now have a new customer... me.

Do not buy

Bought a jar of these Mt. Olive Dills from Sam's Club and they were really bad! Mushy, Smashed and some were rotted. Had to throw them out! A couple months later decided to try again and purchased another jar thinking maybe just picked up a bad batch. Nope, same thing mushy, soft rotten spots and uneatable! Will not buy again! Sam's Club used to sell the Vlasic pickles that were always good! They need to bring them back!

DISGUSTING MUSH! I buy Mt. Olive in grocery stores a lot and have NEVER gotten this garbage before. DON'T BUY THESE!!!! Even the brine smells off. Dont know if it's a new producer problem, or a supplier problem, but i won't be buying these again from anywhere. I sliced EVERY pickle in the jar, the 1 gallon jar, and not one of them was worth eating. Am going to return to Sam's. Hope they inform QUALITY CONTROL, because with this product is sorely missing....

OK At Best

Many of the pickles are soft at the tips. Lesser in quality than Vlasic or Claussen.
