Member's Mark Spiced Caribbean Rum 1.75 L

I only drink spiced rum and the only brand for year I would drink was Captain Morgan. Not a big drinker so I could be picky and if a restaurant/bar was out of Captain, I would stick with pop. Someone suggested I try Member's Mark Spiced Rum, since it was so cheap, I figured it I didn't like it, I would toss it. But I loved it. It has more vanilla overtones and is milder tasting than Captain Morgan. Mixes well with my Diet Pepsi and now my preferred brand, plus it is 1/2 the price! My only complaint is that the glass bottle is heavy!

Tastes better than the name brand

Very tasty, similar to Sailor Jerry’s or Captain Morgan. Wish we could get this at Sam’s Clubs in Texas.

Spiced rum

The best spiced rum out there. I am a rum snob that did not believe until I tried it. I would not  buy any else but Capt’n until I ran into a ‘pro’ in the aisle of Sam’s. He told me to buy both and compare. I love taste tests. I could not tell the difference.

Not a bad spiced rum and nice smooth finish. Price is right as compared to Captain Morgan and Sailor Jerry. About 35%-40% cheaper and goes really well with Mexican Coke and a twist of fresh lime.

Good value

I had a bottle of Brugal Rum on my shopping list.  I couldn't find it in the usual place(s) in my local club.  I asked a staff member in the department where it was, who responded that Sam's was no longer carrying Brugal, but a new Member's Mark Spiced Rum was now being offered instead, adding that it was priced lower than the Brugal.  My experience is that Members Mark products are typically quite good and suitable replacements for similar brand name products, so, I bought a bottle of this MM spiced rum.  What a disappointment!  Yes, it was priced a few dollars less than the Brugal, but those fewer dollars were wasted, since, unfortunately, this was not at all near the taste and quality of the Brugal Rum. I myself will not be drinking it and would certainly not serve it to guests!  It isn't even a good version of a spiced rum!  If Sam's continues to offer this, I will not buy it.  I hope the buyers will bring back the Brugal to the in-store offerings.  I'd rather pay more and get a good product.

Please, bring back the Brugal !
