Doesn't Last

Love these TCL Roku TVs, but this one didn't last 3 months. It won't stay on. Shuts off randomly and the status light blinks continuously. The first time it happened it was fixed by unplugging the tv for a few minutes. Then it started happening more frequently and the TV would have to stay unplugged longer. Now the TV barely stays on 10 minutes and it doesn't matter how long we leave it unplugged. I've tried contacting TCL and they didn't have a solution.

A little disappointed....

After reading review after review I thought I would give this budget TV a shot. I read that the picture was very good and it can be.......if you are streaming 4k. My cable provider only provides me with a 1080p picture. This being said, the picture on HD channels is sub-par to my other TVs and absolutely dreadful on standard definition channels. This observation is based on comparisons with my other TVs which are all Samsung. Also, the interface is also lacking which I could overlook considering the price point. However, I was unable to use any remote other than the provided remote from TCL which is a ROKU remote. The problem is I couldn't figure out how to use one remote which means I had to use my box top remote to change channels. Also, the ARC port seemed to be lagging. When I changed the channels, the picture would go black for several seconds as if it were searching for a signal. This isn't an HDMI cable issue as I have top of line cables. I think the processor in this TV may be just a bit under powered. So, if you can get past using two remotes and the dreadful TV picture. You will be rewarded with a very good 4k picture provided you are streaming 4K at a very reasonable price. I will be returning the TV.

Love these TVs

We love these TVs. They are slim and light and have a good picture. The built in roku is great, since we only use an antenna and web-based subscription services. We have had the 55" for a few years and just got the 65" to mount above our fireplace. Highly recommend- especially for cord cutters! Can't beat the price!

I'm happy!

I bought this model 3 weeks ago to replace a 60 inch Sharp TV that died after 7 years. I've been very happy with it. It's a lot of TV for less than $500, and getting cheaper all the time. The remote is very simple and intuitive to operate. Now I have the functionality of antenna TV and the Roku streaming stick, all in one remote. Can you get a better TV? Yes. Will it cost more? YES. If you're a snob, then go spend twice as much on a name brand. If you want a good TV for a good price, then this is one to get. Use the savings to buy a sound bar.
