I used this particular product along my wooden fence last year and it held up all month long with no issues. I love how easy it is to apply and remove; and the clear transparency of it so during the day you can’t even notice what’s holding the lights up unless you come right up to it. Definitely a winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The clips work very well. The clips have a wide opening which can accommodate good sized wires like the thickness of an indoor extension cord. They adhere well. Removal is easy and did not damage the painted walls.

I bought two sets of these for outdoor lighting on my patio. The set stuck to my painted metal railing work great--no complaints. The set stuck to painted wood? Absolutely nightmarish. This is the third day I've had to replace strips as they keep falling off--and they're holding the lightest set of lights! I'm almost to the point of tearing them all down and going with finishing nails--which completely invalidates the entire point of buying these. Please keep that in mind if you use this product.

For the second year, I have used these to secure lights on our front gate (white vinyl) which gets opened and closed several times a day. We live in Oregon and Christmas is a very rainy and occasionally snowy time, but we've had absolutely no problem keeping the lights exactly where we want them in a very exposed location. Last year I removed the hooks when I took the lights down. This year, I am leaving them on at least for a while to see if they will last through the year. They are clear so they are practically invisible on the gate. I did follow the instructions exactly and cleaned the gate with alcohol and made sure it was completely dry when I put them on.

I bought these to use on my balcony to hold up sting lights that have little plastic mason jars on them. I was sitting out on my balcony tonight and 2 of the command strips fell off causing the lights to come flying down & knocked over and shattered everything on my table(an expensive candle i just purchased, my Hookah, ash tray, & my full coffee which spilled on my fake grass rug that i now have to throw away) . Glass went flying everywhere. I am very lucky my two cats didnt get hurt & myself as it happened less than a foot in front of me. I am very dissatisfied with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love to decorate the outside of our house for the holidays, but don't want to ruin any siding/window sills/doors/etc. These Command Outdoor Light Clips are perfect for that use. They go up easy, hold the lights in place, and can be removed without damage. Be aware that some heavier outdoor lights may require more clips, but at the price you can easily buy more packages to use.
