It is important to mention that if at any time during measurement you want to stop, press the power button and it will immediately stop and the cuff will deflate. We want taking your blood pressure at home to be as comfortable as it can so I am truly sorry to hear about your experience and want to help. Please contact us so we can gather more information and provide a solution. One possibility is you need a different cuff size. Measure the upper arm circumference with a soft tape measure or string. The cuff that comes with this device fits 8.7 in - 16.5 in. If your number is close to either the lower or higher number then the Medium or Extra Large replacement cuffs could make for a more comfortable measurement. Another possibility is that Memory Averaging Mode (MAM) was turned on which takes 3 measurements in a row. This shouldn't cause discomfort but perhaps it was unexpected if you didn't realize it was on.
