Bought this generator to power my entire house, including the AC, when we lose power. Which happens more than I’d like to say. Works great and also the added bonus of battery start and remote start, aids in starting and shutting down from inside the house. Highly recommended

I wanted a carburetor not a fuel injection system. Not much was made clear to me in its description. This is just more electronic junk to go bad, including the remote, which is only greed. I did wonder why everyone in the US was selling these so cheap? Now I know. I had to change from the great generators I had been using to this! I hope it lasts through December. It has too many gadgets and they cannot even put the serial number on the manual... you have to go out in a storm when it arrives and find it just above the exhaust and try to write it down while breathing exhaust. I wonder what would happen in a storm if you were trying register it by breathing exhaust? Yet, there are thousands of warnings about everything. I am off-grid and have had 100s of generators, yet I cannot even work on this one. Westinghouse has made it impossible without a electronics shop to work on this machine. I will not buy another Westinghouse.. greed typical of companies like Westinghouse. I do not recommend this product for any place where you are using it as backup for storms.

Have not had to use it in real life but so far it is as described. Set up was simple and only issue was the oil provided only filled it to the low level mark so had to add extra oil to bring the level up to safe level. Started up quickly with no issues and I run a electric drill off the 120 volt port. Tried the battery charger and worked great.

I bought this generator and put half a tank of gas. When we moved the generator the gas spills out of the gas gauge. I am told the generator has to be level when moved except there’s only 2 wheels so you have to pick up on one side so it won’t be level. Since there is no cover on the gas gauge and it is open to the tank we will also get dirt and dust in the gas tank.

Just bought in preparation for hurricane season in Florida. Generator has all the features I need and at a reasonable price. Item was delivered on promised time but box was damaged in transit. No visible signs of damage to Generator. Have not had to use yet so can't accurately describe performance.

When I received my generator the box it came in was in perfect condition. Good delivery company. Three things were wrong after I opened it. The frame had a dent on it and one of the wheels wouldn't go on because the frame was bent. I pounded out the wheel slot and was able to mount the wheel. I figured the dent was not going to affect the operation of the generator. Generator runs fine. I put two gallons of gas in the tank and the gauge does not register or move. Taped on it and still does not register a 1/3 tank but empty. Would like a new gauge if that would be possible. I would send a photo but don't know how on the com[uter but could text you one. I'm 74 and don't know much about computers.

Just got it, added oil and gas and it fired right up on the first try. Tried the remote and it worked great as well. Getting generator plug installed in a few days and I will be ready for the next power outage. Really confident this generator will be everything I need.

My generator arrived today. Put in some oil and gas, followed instructions and it started right up. The remote starter also worked well. I had a question,so I telephoned the customer service number provided and talked with a very nice lady who answered my questions. Haven't had time to run it under a heavy load yet, but I am very satisfied to this point.

Unpack the generator no issues Straight forward and accurate assembly instruction. Add oil and fuel, started on first start cycle of the electric start system. As soon as the speed stabilized on the generator the green light went from blinking to steady and was ready for use

This generator replaces an older generator that aged well but simply was not able to function as standby house back-up power source. The WGen9500 is strong, powerful, reliable but somewhat noisy. We have not yet had any significant power outages, but we have utilized the WGen 9500 generator to test reliability as well as steadiness of supplied power for computers and other home electronics. The electric start/ remote start are real pluses. The noise level is the only negative. The price point and reliability are the strongest features.
