Very easy to set up and start. Added oil,put in fuel, started up first try. Have not tried to power the appliances yet. Would have given 5stars but the staples on the box scratched the frame in shipping. (Cosmetic damage only). Missing 2bolts and a washer. Looking forward to running the generator.

Just received this today and setup was easy. Attached legs and wheels, add supplied oil, and added gas. That's it. Love the power start, no pulling. Started right up. I'm reserving 5th star as I haven't run it under load yet. So far so good though.

Living in Florida requires that you have a portable generator! Hurricanes come, Power goes. We had a generator but it was one with a pull start which got more difficult as we age. After research we determined that this Westinghouse 9500/12000 was perfect for us, it has an electric starter and gives us more than needed power. I bought this generator last year and have had the occasion to use this multiple times since. The ease and convenience of startup and operation was very surprising and the remote start fob is a big bonus. Fold up/down handle makes it quite easy to maneuver to your desired location and tuck away to minimize the space needed.

Just purchased for backup if loss of power from Hurricane. Recommended by our electrician. Has the power to run our entire house with some careful planning. Ex. not running hot water heater and the air conditioner at the same time. Really looking forward to using this generator.

I bought this just in time for our first power outage.Prep was super easy and started up on first try. This generator is full of features and full of power. Do yourself a favor and make this purchase before you need it.Remember how much food you threw away last time right?

I bought this just a few days before hurricane IAN ripped through our area. It performed better than expected. We lost power around shortly before noon on September 28th. The generator started easily on the first try and ran continuously for about 11 hours each day (4) until the power was restored. I shut it off at night and restarted in the morning. It used about 6.5 gallons of gas each day, which I thought was very good. It ran great even during rainy periods. It ran my refrigerator, several lights and tv's without straining. After the hurricane I had a transfer switch and outdoor inlet plug installed so I can run the central AC. I tested the system and it performed flawlessly running the AC, refrigerator, dishwasher, 3 tv's and several lights, microwave and a toaster for over an hour in 90 degree southwest Florida heat.

I just purchased my Westinghouse standby generator on August 5 of this year and it was delivered yesterday. My son-in-law came out and checked it out for me since he’s mechanically inclined. Being that my wife and I live only 15 north of the Gulf of Mexico and being 78 years young the electric start feature was a great investment in and of itself. Pull starting our old generator was a little rough and asking neighbors to do that for me was embarrassing but now, I don’t have to. Thanks so much.

I replaced my old generator with this Westinghouse WGen9500, I am very happy with it. The wheels and feet were very easy to install, then I just filled up the oil, add gas and it started right away on the first try. I did not have any problems. I really like the remote start feature. I researched lots of generator brands and I am very happy I chose Westinghouse

Such a great looking unit with a number of great features. Electric start, remote start, built in fuel gauge. 9500 running watts will be plenty of power to run our entire house. Can’t wait to use when the next power outage happens. Well put together generator. Easy to assemble out of the box.
