We bought this as a backup home generator primarily, but also wanted the flexibility from a portable unit. This is so easy to put together. The push button start and fob start are great features so that anyone can use it. We highly recommend this generator.

I searched thoroughly before committing to this unit. The Westinghouse name is a familiar one but maybe not for most when it comes to power equipment. I had experience with the company as I purchased a Westinghouse power washer about a year ago. That unit has proven itself along with the company. The TSC web site had 000's of positive reviews for the generator so I was inclined to purchase. I followed the instructions for set up which included adding gas and oil. Next was pairing the remote start key fob. The instructions were clear but the remote was not behaving as expected. After two failed attempts, I pushed the Start button for no real reason. The unit started to fire right up and scared me in the process. The only reason it didn't start was that the gas valve was OFF. As soon as I turned it on, the remote start kicked in on the first attempt. Very happy with the preparation and performance.

The unit looks well built and strong. It was very easy to assemble. I added gas and followed the instructions and it started on the first try. I let it run for about a half hour without any load letting the engine wear in. I was very surprised at how quiet this unit is given it's size, but to compare, my pressure washer is louder. I haven't used it yet but I will update when I do

NOT WORKING IN COLD WEATHER (BELOW 20 F.) The "auto start" does not work at all at cold weather (Auto choke failure) It might work only if you push the choke lever with your thumb at the "cold" position and hold it there In other word: Useless if you live up northern USA or Canada fpor the reaL winter time

I had been looking for a generator that would start my well pump. This Westinghouse fits the bill perfectly. It was easy to assemble. Put fuel in the generator and it started right up. I have had it a month now, started it today and ran it 15 minutes. Everything seems great. Easy to move around too.

I have been debating on purchasing a generator and I finally decided to purchase one. After researching several different generators, I chose this one due to great reviews and a great price. Assembly is easy and very easy to start. I did a test run with it and it seems to be perfect for me.

Need this in the great north woods. This generator was received on time and in perfect condition. Unpacking and installation of wheels was a breeze. Had it up and running in minutes. It even came with oil and battery. Powers the whole house. Great value for a great price.

Arrived in five days. Easy to install the wheels and legs. After filling the Oil and Gas and connecting the battery it started right up with the remote. Unfortunately there was a crack on the plastic covering behind the control panel. I am working the Westinghouse to get this repaired.

The WGen9500 is easy to set up and easy to use. I purchased this for the rolling power outages in California. When I am not at home my wife can start the generator from a push button key fob. This unit provides excellent power and flexibility and at a very good price. A+.

After Many years of intermittent power outages, four of which were extended (7 days or more), the latest being with Hurricane Laura, we bought this WGen9500 and I couldn't be more satisfied. Notes: Shipping / delivery personnel great. Carried (unbelievable considering it's weight) to my back porch and unboxed. Weight --yes, it is heavy. You probably want to have some help tipping it on side to put on wheels and legs Noise level - actually not too loud at all. I've run it at very end of back porch, and with entry door closed decibel level at least seems less than my lawn mower. Easy initial setup, excellent manual, perfect oil funnel furnished. Enough power, with discretion, to run everything we will want to make life much more comfortable with the next outage. Very simply, you can't go wrong with this generator.
