If I don't pace myself, I could likely eat the whole fillet in one sitting...RAW! Lol! When I saw sashimi grade salmon after an incident my husband had at a restaurant ordering sashimi, I figured I'd give it a try. We bought the sushi and just ate it...in pieces...raw. Whatever was leftover we froze and cooked gently in pasta a week later. It's on sale now and I brought it home and added it to my shrimp Alfredo and ate a piece...or two...raw with some soy sauce. Guilty pleasure! I will DEFINITELY buy it again and again!

As soon as I tore the plastic away from the packaging, I instantly was concerned this fillet had gone bad by its strong, fishy smell. I bought it on March 26th and opened it the next day. It has a use by date of April 1st. I buy salmon regularly from the grocery and know that smell was not normal and very unpleasant. I had to throw it away so basically $18 went into the trash.

I buy it often. Quality is average. Sometimes it is very good, sometimes too soft (even when due date is a week away...) . - I wonder if it means too much chemicals? Not very fresh? I'm not sure. More info re. where/how it is produced/processed would be helpful.

I bought this 2.36 lb. package on Saturday morning and just finished it tonight Sunday. I served it raw for all three meals; dipping sauces and side dishes. As with other reviews, this flesh was clean tasting and tender. I usually treat myself to wild caught sockeye salmon once a weekend, on the weekend. This was special and I will buy again.

I didn't realize the salmon was farm raised.

I was buying several of these a month. I will be seeking to procure my fish elsewhere now.

Sold me rotten fish! The fish smelled so putrid, unlike anything I've smelled. Unedible! Poor quality!

Seriously?? You cut up the whole fillet?? WHY. I will now be purchasing salmon elsewhere. Shame on you Sam’s Club.
