Bought this on a recommendation and was super bummed. It's so dry. It's not really pumpkin flavored enough. The texture is strange; kinda cakey but not. This needs a lot of tweeking to be a good dessert. It totally missed the mark for me on all points.

Bought this thinking pretty much everything I've gotten at Sam's bakery has been good, this was the exception, it was dry and had next to no flavor, had my wife try it and I put in the trash, we live 35 mins from our club so didn't make sense to return it.

I haven't decided yet if I'm a fan or not a fan. It looked really good and sounded delicious, but I'm a little disappointed with the actual product. Maybe it's because for me, this seems more like a breakfast or brunch type coffee cake.The crumb topping is definitely very tasty, but it's very hard when you try to serve the cake. I had to use a sharp knife to cut thru it, which I wasn't expecting. The cake itself has a good flavor. Not too much pumpkin or spice, just a touch. Eating it as a stand alone dessert it does seem dry, but yet it's really not. I ate a few bites as a dessert but the entire time I was chewing, I kept thinking, "This would be pretty tasty with a cup of hot coffee in the morning."

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. The pumpkin spice flavor was very good, but the cake was extremely dry. The crumb topping was way too much, and it made it hard to get out of the pan. We heated the cake slices just a few seconds which gave it a better taste and easier to eat.

We bought the pumpkin crumb cake last week. The first time, we tried it as is and thought that it was a little dry. The second taste, we heated up and it definitely enhanced the spices and was a much better experience. After that, we heated and added whipped cream or ice cream and it made even better. Absolutely eat it with whipped cream or ice cream and make sure it is warmed up!

I'm a huge fan of Sam's New York style crumb cake and was excited to try this pumpkin version. It's a very large cake, quite thick. No complaints about dryness. The reason for the 4 stars is that it doesn't taste like pumpkin at all, just slightly different from the standard crumb cake. I am enjoying it with coffee.

Very hard and dry!!! After discovering how terrible it was we put it in bowls, warmed it, added milk to soften and topped with ice cream.
