Got me "hook, line, and sinker"!

Someone brought the Pumpkin Crumb Cake to the Thanksgiving potluck, only a few were brave enough to try it since it was so crumbly it looked dry. But I even said as I tried to serve myself, "my dad always said, 'the worse it looks the better it tastes'". And boy was he right! The crumb was crumbly, but the Pumpkin beneath was so moist and it had the perfect blend of spices and sweetness so that it was a chorus of flavor instead of a solo! I just signed up for a Sam's Club membership just to get this dessert for our Christmas potluck!!

Save your money.

I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review. This may be the worst thing I've ever purchased, anywhere. The crumble is like trying to eat pebbles. The cake is unbelievably dry. I'm not sure what the flavor is. I certainly didn't get pumpkin. After the first bite, I put it in the microwave. It didn't help. I won't return it, because I don't want to deal with after Thanksgiving crowds. I hate being wasteful, but this is going in the garbage.

Great Holiday Dessert Addition

Just tried it since it was $5 off. Delicious!!!! But, it's true that the pumpkin flavor is light and mild - which I really like!!!! I love Sam's Pumpkin Pie and always have it for the holidays, but this Pumpkin Crumb Cake is a nice addition to the dessert table. Thank You Sam's!!!!

I liked it

Other reviews accurate. It is dry on top BUT the cake in mine was moist and flavorful. Good (but thick) cinnamon/sugar crunchy topping with breaks apart when you try to cut it. So does not slice well if you are taking to a party. But if you like crumbs on a Dutch Apple pie, you will like the flavor of this. However, I think a cupcake-size portion is plenty with a cup of coffee. This is a good deal for $6 but not for the original $13. I would buy next year if presented in cupcake-sized portions.

Glad I bought it on sale.

I hated this cake (or whatever it is supposed to be) so much that I actually considered returning it. Food. I considered returning FOOD. Food that wasn't spoiled or out of expiration date. It was just that bad. I decided against returning it, but it was one of the worst baked goods I've ever purchased. Anywhere. I have had many things from Sam's that were fine or even really good (in fact I just bought the holiday cookie platter and it was quite impressive!) but this was awful. Dry and tasteless. Crumbly, hard and difficult to cut. I purchased on sale and it was massive for the price, which I was excited about until I actually tried to choke down a piece. I had someone else try it just to ensure it wasn't me and they hated it more than I did. It went in tbe trash, which felt sad and wasteful. It sounded good!

Best crumb cake ever

Despite the reviews saying it was dry and not very good, we bought this to try. It sounded good, and I'm so glad we didn't let the reviews stop us. This crumb cake is so delicious. It actually disappeared faster than the pumpkin pie, which is unheard of in our house! 2nds and 3rds were had by everyone. It must vary based on the club and ours just makes them really well.

MM Pumpkin Crumb

The MM Pumpkin Crumb cake was great. The pumpkin cake was moist and flavorful. The crumb topping was thick and tasty. I can see how people would call it a dry cake. When I cut into it, the crumb topping did fall apart probably because it was so thick. I just scooped it onto the plate and enjoyed. Overall, for the holiday sale price of $8, it was a good buy and value. I would buy it again.

No, Just No.

I bought this because the sign said it was 7.98. I verified, like I always do, with Scan & Go which said it was 5.98, but I was charged 12.98 for it. Yes, I checked the signs and there was no sign that said this was Scan & Go savings. The app didn't say it was a Scan & Go only price either. Like a couple other reviewers, I thought this was a pie and not a cake. Who puts cake in a round pie tin??? I thought the flavor/texture was fine, but the topping was sometimes a bit much and I love sugar! I'm happy that it is cake, but my husband is angry he didn't get pie. Mostly unhappy about the cost differences.

Un-servable, dry cake

If I could give 0 stars I would. The cake was dry, crumbled apart when cut into, and therefore could not be served at the party I got it for. There was minimal pumpkin flavor. The crust on top was hard and dry. The ratio of cake to topping was way off. Minimal cake and way too much topping.
