Great Traction, Wore Out Fast.

I purchased a set of the Defender tires 6 years ago this month. I was excited to see a 90k mile rating. However, my tires have 40k on them and they are down to the wear indicator. I have always had them aired up to recommended tire pressure and rotated every 5k when I had my oil changed. I am still considering a new set of these because they do have good traction in the rain and dry roads. Just wish I got a little more mileage out of them considering the price.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, ComputerGreek. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Horrible Ride

I had my Michelin Premier Tires replaced at a dealership as they told me they were leaking from the bead. I was appalled as they were only 4 years old with few miles. They were replaced by Michelin Defenders. The ride is absolutely horrible. The car shakes and jolts me over every little bump and crevice in the road. I had them checked after 5 weeks and they stated that everything looked good for the year and state of the car. The suspension also looks good, so I do not understand the horrible ride. My vehicle has always been well maintained and I always have had routine maintenance done.

Disappointing wear

We've had these for 20,000 miles, and the loss of tread is surprising, sort of amazing. No longer suitable for next winter when it snows 2 inches. Otherwise, a good all-round tire. Great gas mileage, good handling, not too noisy, stops well. Would like the same tire, but getting 40,000 miles out of them for all four seasons.

So Far So Good

I replaced my five-year-old, all season, Michelin 'harmony' tires with four new, all season, Michelin 'defender T+H' tires last month. Checked before tires put on for the DOT on all 4 tires, clearly indicated month & year tires manufactured. I wanted tires manufactured in Canada, not the U.S.A. November 2017, driving in -4 temperatures, salted roads were melting and freezing again. Traffic was crawling at 45 miles/hr. over patches of black ice. I credit these tires for keeping me on the road that day. However, these tires should not replace winter tires. Excellent tire & braking grip on the road. Quiet ride. Will update after a year.

Great Improvement over other brand

I replaced a set of Road Hugger tires with a set of 4 Defender T+H Michelins on my 2000 Celica yesterday because in only 15K miles, the RH's developed a very loud, resonating tread noise at highway speeds. I was very impressed with the quiet, smooth ride and precise handling I instantly saw from the Michelins. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment from my new tires! As a former test driver at Michelin's Laurens Proving Gounds, I'm sure they will live up to my expectations!

Great Fuel Efficiency but too rigid and bit noisy

I bought this to replace my Premier as there was no Premier which fit to my Subaru Outback any more. Gas mileage has been improved over 10%. But, it is a bit noisier than Premier and bit too rigid. Premier was much better in terms of ride comfort.

Very nice tires for my hybrid malibu.

I bought these little over a month ago, I drive all highway miles and already have put 10000 miles on them. At first I thought my car felt loose in them but that was because my old tires were so bad. These tires ride very nice, very quite even though my car sits 7 inches off the ground. Wet road handling is great and they are designed to last many many miles ahead. Very happy with my purchase.

Michelin defender

Bought these today for my Subaru Forester. My old tires were at their end of life. I only drove from dealer home but the difference is amazing. Obviously fit is important. My husband had tires from this dealer previously and said they were excellent. So we will see how they wear. Road noise is gone. These tires were recommended by dealer

Noisy & Does not last for more than 35K miles

Initial experience with these tires is actually good - They were quiet and also had decent grip on wet pavements (Seattle). But, they wear out rather quickly - less than 35K and they are already ready to be replaced. And they get really, very noisy after about 2 years of use.

Great Tires

I contacted Michelin prior to making the purchase in ordeer to get the greatest set of tires for my Honda Accord. I got the Defender T+H. They are perfect for my vehicle. They ride smooth and are safe during wet or dry conditions. Will get another set when they ever wear out in the future.
