Lifetime deck boxes are well built and easy to assemble. I bought one over a year ago and liked it so much I bought another one two weeks ago. They hold up well in the weather and do not leak. I am now considering buying another one as soon as I make room for it on my deck. They look good and serve the purpose very well. I recommend them.

I purchased this large box to store things outside on my patio. A squirrel figured out I had seed inside and tried to chew a whole into it. I called the company to purchase another lid. They instead gave me a new lid under warranty. What a pleasant surprise! Thank you and I will continue to use and recommend these products to others.

I was so exited when I saw the quality. It was so heavy and appeared to be a great product. First out with the instructions and away we go. Problem 1 there were hard pieces of dark plastic blocking the holes where you slide the sides down in 3 different holes np. My husband took those off because I couldn’t get them off as they were well attached. Easy next step insert sides, side 1 piece of cake problem 2 side 2 would not go into insert. My question should the insert be bigger or panel insert smaller so we took apart panel 1 and tried it as we all ready knew it was the right size. Doesn’t fit! Now I have a 130 gallon storage box sitting in my living room waiting for a new panel ffs can no body do any thing right anymore. Then we proceed to put the screws in place so I can finish it by myself when the panel comes. No indent for screws so they tend to go crooked. There are only 2 indents and those went in fine the rest were stressful. I have bought many unassembled items including bbqs and have never came a crossed such poor workmanship for such an expensive item. Pay more get more is not at all the case with this. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars if for quality which I would say is a 5 star. Very disappointed!

I saw other reviews about issues with assembly so was prepared. Had to take a box knife and shave excess plastic off the edges of a few pieces in order to get them to fit. A couple of the holes didn't line up so had to drill those before I could insert the bolts. Once that was done, assembly was easy. Took about 90 minutes, would have been about 30-45 minutes to assemble if I hadn't had to make the modifications. Still a pretty good deal (price for this size deck box and quality of materials) so overall rating reflects that. If I could talk to manufacturer, I'd say "adjust your die/castings because they're off"!

Bought this box because it's supposed to be waterproof. Box was easy to put together, but there is a factory defect where the hole for a lock to go doesn't line up properly between the lid and front panel. This causes a gap allowing water to go in. I called lifetime customer service, they had me send them pictures and they told me that was normal to put a shim on the back side so water doesn't go in the box. That doesn't work for blowing rain and I shouldn't have to put a shim because of a defect. Poor customer service. Will be returning because what good is this thing if everything inside is going to get wet. I bought this box because a family member has one and they don't have a gap causing water to get in. If customer service would have been more helpful and sent a fix I would have given better review and kept box. What's the point in the 10 year warranty if they won't correct a defect for an item that was just purchased. Tried to post picture with review, but it won't allow it.

When I received the deck box the cardboard box was a mess...all broken and taped up. The deck box looked great, so I started to put it together. The pieces do not 'slide' together. I asked a neighbor for help and he brought a rubber mallet. We got the back piece on using the mallet. The front piece kept getting stuck. When it finally moved, it smashed one of the plastic connectors because it wasn't seating properly. There's no way it will be waterproof now, so I had to return it. On the bright side, Walmart made it easy to return by having FedEx pick up for me.

Although it seemed daunting, assembly was not that difficult. I have a 25 year old tool set from Sears and it was easy to put together. There were some lapses in the instructions but the pictures filled in the blanks. Love how roomy this is. I needed a space to put all my gardening items for an upstairs deck. This was a bit more expensive than some other brands I looked at but I am confident it will hold up and it looks aesthetically pleasing. I received my delivery much quicker than expected so that was a great bonus.

I bought two large boxes for outside use. One contains items related to the pool and the the other box contains yard and garden tools/supplies. I have had them for three years now, in the Florida sun and rain year round and have not had any issues.

This is exactly our third lifetime deck box so obviously we like its functionality very much. Holds and protects the outdoor furniture cushions we have. The only negative is the the assembly... its a beast to put together! Takes patience snd mental fortitude!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pieces didn’t not fit together well at all. Terrible match up for pieces. No pre-drilling required in instructions, but an absolute necessity. After pre-drilling the pieces still did not fit together well. Plastic ****. Boo!
