Lifetime 130 Gal. Outdoor Storage Deck Box

Bought this for my husband for Fathers Day and he loves it! These things can be super expensive but we were so happy that this box is well built and its at an affordable price compared to other brands! Highly recommend!

Seems like good quality from Lifetime. I will test it outdoors for wear and water resistance. Its easier to assemble if you follow the written instructions and watch the video. Had some difficulty with the front panel as the base seemed slightly curved making it hard to lock into place in the middle. Had someone push down as I locked it into place. .

Bought this box because it's supposed to be waterproof. Box was easy to put together, but there is a factory defect where the hole for a lock to go doesn't line up properly between the lid and front panel. This causes a gap allowing water to go in. I called lifetime customer service, they had me send them pictures and they told me that was normal to put a shim on the back side so water doesn't go in the box. That doesn't work for blowing rain and I shouldn't have to put a shim because of a defect. Poor customer service. Will be returning because what good is this thing if everything inside is going to get wet. 

I bought this box because a family member has one and they don't have a gap causing water to get in. If customer service would have been more helpful and sent a fix I would have given better review and kept box. What's the point in the 10 year warranty if they won't correct a defect for an item that was just purchased.

Factory Defect Customer support no help

We were looking for a box to store deck cushions and " related stuff". After spending hours researching related products I ordered this box, Lifetime 130 gallon storage/deck box. I had looked at another brand in the store butnit just didn't feel sturdy. The box arrived via Fed Ex in great shape. Assembly was pretty easy, after watching the youtube tutorial a few times. My husband helped when a second set of hands and opinion was needed. The package was one screw short. I got online and emailed customer service. This was the most complicated step in the whole process for me. They required a copy of my receipt, model and product number. One of the numbers was not where the website assured me it was. Instead it was on a sticker inside the lid. Finally armed with all the necessary information they said an order was put in for One (1) missing screw. I was prepared to make a trip to town to buy said screw. My only real issue so far- I under estimated the size of the box we need. Probably should have built a pool house.
