It worked great when we gave it an initial try but it can't get to operating temperature now.

Steam discharged out the top of rotating heads NOT through the cleaning heads

Unfortunately like all other bissell products, this steam mop is not built to last. We have owned for ~1.5yrs, using once weekly. The product worked up until about 2wks ago where the water tank valve gasket broke. This appears to be a common problem with this device. We purchased replacement part to no avail. Bissell is not as good as it once was, consider another brand if you would like your steam mop to last

I love this steamer. It really cleans. I used it on spots on my carpet and I was amazed how the spots came out!! Very easy to operate, almost self propelled! I love the way it turns and spins to get into tighter spaces. I would highly recommend this steamer!!! Floors come out shiny and spotless! Reaches temp of 212 degrees.

Exactly what we wanted! A great alternative to mopping with a bucket. We bought a fancy Dyson, and with only a couple uses, we returned it immediately. We do a quick sweep of the floors first, then this SmartSteam follows after. We have a dog, and this is fantastic to clean our floors. Absolutely no water streak marks. Dries fast with the steam, and the mop heads go into the washing machine. No buckets or mess. So thankful.
