Coming from PlayStation since 1995 to now and this is my first Xbox. It's a great unit. You may need to expand your storage, however it will be worth it because you will still wind up paying the same or close if you bought the Series X with a TB. The one TB Seagate expansion card is a great idea instead of a bulky HDD.

Hi there--Welcome to the Xbox family! We're delighted that you're enjoying your new Xbox Series S. If you need more space, you have a couple of options. As you mention, the best choice is to invest in a Seagate SSD 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series X/S, which will add 1TB of SSD storage to your console. Otherwise, you can also add a standard external hard drive that can be used to play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that have not been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S. Hope that helps! -Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

Best Xbox Console Yet

This is the best Xbox console to date. Don't listen to the haters. If you're having trouble with Microsoft Support, that's not the console's fault. My console works flawlessly and I love it. It's quiet, powerful, and instantaneous. I couldn't ask for more and don't miss the disc drive one bit.

Superb system

This is a superb system, even for budget-conscious gamers with 4K TVs. While it doesnt render the games natively in 4K, it WILL up convert the games to 4K resolution, if desired. If you have a 1080p TV, games look great, with many offering 60fps and full HD resolution. If youre looking for a way to upgrade your existing Xbox One S, or would like to take advantage of Xbox game pass, the system is the perfect way to get into the next generation of gaming without dropping a huge amount of money. As for direct comparisons with Series X, consider this. Dirt 5 runs at full HD on HDTVs, or 1440p and 120fps on gaming monitors on Series S. On Series X, Dirt 5 runs in 2160p at 60fps (with 120fps available on compatible displays). Call of Duty Cold War runs very similarly on both S and X, but with slightly more realistic shadows on Series X at a higher resolution. In gameplay, however, the difference is difficult to see unless youre looking for it directly, and when unconverted to 4K, the difference is even less noticeable - sure the textures are ever-so-slightly less detailed, but not in a bad way. You will also get the exact same game loading speed as Series X, but at a lower price point. Basically, if you were happy with the One S, you will find that the Series S is a huge upgrade and well worth the investment.

Must Have

Great purchase, still like my PS5 more but I'm really enjoying the Series S and being back with an Xbox. Having a PS5 I saw no need for a Series X. Recommend the Series S if you want a smaller console, disc-free gaming or even for the cheaper option. Its worth it!

Great console, not so great storage

This is a great console but my only concern is it’s ability to run games that require a big amount of power. Also since games require so much storage now, you need to buy the expansion card if you want to have more than 6-7 games. And at that point you might as well buy the series x. I feel like this is a great console but if you are looking to have this console for the same amount of time as you may have had the Xbox one then I’d recommend getting the series x, but you do you, both are great consoles.

Hi Kaden -- Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your Xbox Series S. If you're playing older Xbox games that haven't been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S, another storage option is to add an external hard drive. Games that aren't enhanced for Xbox Series X/S may be stored and played directly from an external drive, freeing up your SSD for enhanced games. Hope that helps! --Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

take it and don't listen to others

everyone told me: don’t take this garbage, it doesn’t work well, etc., but I took it and don’t regret that I took it and I advise you that the console is simply the best if you have a small budget, the console itself: the graphics are beautiful, everything works perfectly, there are no problems with performance, no problem : there is not enough memory, but you can buy yourself an additional 1 terabyte of memory

Great console!!

Most people who play on their TVs wont be able to even get what the series X does , this is a way more practical console for the majority of consumers. 1080 60FPS beast of a machine that will upscale to 4k and 60FPS. so the difference between the X and S are minimal . Save youre money and get this.

Got it and its amazing!!!

Started playing with this yesterday and my gosh is it one heck of a console! it's so good to play with the series s and not only that but the controller is so good that they almost didn't change anything to it (the controller was already perfect years ago so they only made stuff like the d pad better) and the console just runs so amazing and i wouldn't have change anything to this console cause it's perfect.

Don’t buy this

This machine is garbage, and it doesn’t deserve the title garbage. In reality it is a phone cpu with a heat sink... and that’s about it. I vehemently hate that MS is making their customers buy these cheap pieces of plastic. I’m seriously considering canceling my order, because I hate the idea of how little Microsoft cares about their customers.
