great design

Well packaged for shipping. Great sturdy design. Simple to complete the initial setup. One wheel bracket was slightly bent (looked like manufacturing/quality control issue rather than shipping damage), but not so much as to prevent the wheel being installed and working fine. Almost cannot wait for the useless local utility company to next cut the power ...

Good generator

Just bought this generator. It was easy to put on the wheels. I like that it came with the correct amount of oil to get started. LOVE the remote control! It came with instructions to pair the remote with the generator but didn't need to, was paired right out of the box. Haven't tried it using LP yet, will update if I have any issues.

ok

Generator seems to work ok. started ok. Ran it and used it for a while to break in. When tried to start again took several hard pulls to get going. Hope it starts after setting a while. The oil fill port is hard to reach, have to get on knees and crouch underneath which will be a pain when using generator in snow/rain/ power outage which is likely scenario for use. Would be impossible to fill without the specially designed crooked funnel, so hope I don't lose that...where do I store the special generator oil funnel to remember where it is?? It comes with strange metal "shipping brackets" that have to be removed. They were mounted with very tight hard to reach bolts that stripped when using the tiny supplied wrench. Had to get out ratchet set and ratchet extension bar to get them off. Curses. That took longer than all the other assembly startup. As always, engineers should uncrate and assemble at least 20 of their own product using only the supplied instructions verbatim and not their own acquired intuition of the product.

Just what we need….

After reading lots of generator reviews on many sites we decided that Westinghouse must have a great product. The generator arrived with a few dings on the frame but nothing too serious considering that the bottom of the box was ripped apart and wet with oil. The seal on the bottle of oil had been cut and oil was leaking from the cap. Now we need more oil before we start it up. It was simple to assemble the wheel kit and we are confident that it will be ready if and when we get another Emergency Blackout.

Amazing product

We love our generator! It has very user friendly design for the outlets. It is well labeled and my 12 year old can start it on her own after only being shown once. The propane option gives great peace of mind. Looking forward to many years of reliable power!

Compact Design

We bought this generator a month and a half ago to use for large event catering. It powers our oven and lights in a tented event kitchen. It is compact and efficient. It travels very well and starts right up! We love the duel fuel option since we always have propane on hand and it burns a little cleaner so it doesn't stink up the area with spent gasoline. It's also fairly quiet as far as generators go. We used to rent them and we are glad to have our own little workhorse... We will be buying another one for when we have multiple events.

It seems to be well built and easy to start

I really haven't used it yet, only to put ti together and start it up. But I don't like the design for putting the wheel on the side of the instrument panel. I had mounted the wheel and then had to take it off again in order to put the battery in. Plus it is really very tight fit to put the pin in that holds that wheel in place. I will be using this generator at our cabin in Northern Minn and will have to remove the battery every fall to keep it from freezing over the winter when the cabin is not in use. Which means the wheel has to come off every time I need to take out the battery. Not really a big problem but their must have been a better way to design that. Also I was disappointed to find that I had to actually shut the power off at the machine when I wasn't going to use it for several hours or overnight to keep from running down the battery. On the generator I had before if the machine was shut down everything was off and there was no problem with the battery being drained. Which was the main reason I wanted a remote start.

Good dual fuel generator

Just received it and started right up with propane gas. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the enclosed oil funnel was broken up on arrival (likely cause was related to some damage to the outside of the box) and also a slight discrepancy between the "quick start guide" and the user manual. The quick start guide did not mention that the battery was not attached to cables and that the engine mount was partially blocking the ability to insert the cotter pin, as well as the battery was facing the wrong way. After following said quick steps I had to revert to the manual to remove one tire so that I could remove battery to connect the battery and reinstall the tire.

Bit tough on us old guys

Was a bit challenging to get the oil inserted. The cap is not easy to thread and the oil container provided had more oil than the engine properly needs. I ran it on propane with no issues. It started readily and ran well. Works fine. It is a bit heavy, but then it provides a lot of output.

Easy set up and running

Bought this generator to be prepared for the coming winter since I live in an outage prone area. Set up was straight forward and simple. I connected a propane tank and ran it for 15 minutes without issues. Includes everything you need to get going except for fuel. The included oil is precisely the amount you need. Not too heavy at just about 100 pounds. Feels like a wheel barrow full or dirt to move. We'll see how it performs in a power outage situation.
