Great features and warranty, would love a timer

Bought this generator for the coming winter, so far so good. It cranks right out of the box after the quick setup and adding oil. Good size for performance as well. I do wish it had an hour/volt meter like the non-electric start one does, especially for the price, but it is what it is. Also kinda wished it had 4 standard household AC outlets instead of 2, but again you already know what you're buying. 4 stars because of the lack of meter, which makes maintenance after engine hour count much easier, and should be included, however I am hopeful that it lasts a long time as it will be maintained and garage kept for most of the time.

Easy to Operate

We bought this almost a month ago and it arrived in great condition. Supplied oil in the crankcase, filled with fuel, hooked up battery, turned the ignition on, pushed start button and it immediately started. it runs very smoothly. Very Pleased! We would highly recommend this unit.

Most Complete.....

Most Complete documentation and everything included down to the oil you need and even the funnel needed to prevent spillage, thirty minutes prep work and it's ready to go to work! I think this is a great value and more than adequate for residential back up. It will get us through the next Texas winter storm for sure.

Just right for me

My daughter gave me this generator for my birthday. It is just right for me. I live alone and it is compact, easy to start and on nice wheels. I am storing it in my garage and can easily wheel it out onto the driveway at any time I need to use it. I am 77 years old and this was a very appreciated gift because I live in North Florida, and having it gives me peace during hurricane season.

Very nice stable speed, quick recovery and solid!

I have put about 20 hours on the genset and it purrs like a kitten. Great governor (for such an inexpensive generator set) and it's very quick to restabilize during swinging loads. The documentation for the unit is clear and concise, very well written (something sorely lacking with most merchandise these days!) I use this for my camper which has the 120VAC 30A circuit. Since the generator is 120VAC (not 120/240) it's a perfect fit. Runs the rooftoop AC unit, water heater, microwave and other basic plug-in style items with no problems whatsoever. When used with a circuit monitor/protector (one that monitors for 8-30 seconds before closing an internal breaker that connects the camper to shore power) the remote start/stop feature is extremely convenient! It ensures the generator does not try to start under load, saving the time and hassle of disconnecting this and that each time you want to start the generator. The shutdown sequence appears to be about 5 seconds, not 15 seconds. I would prefer it run for 30 but that's just my opinion. It's great that it has a delay at all. It would be a better value if they could include a propane quick connect feature instead of the typical threaded connection but this is a very minor setback. A primary voltage/current/hz monitor would be nice as well, even if it were available as an option. Overall I wish I'd have purchased this unit years ago. It's been a pleasure to have!

So Far so Good

I've had this about a month and it was easy to assemble and easy to start. I wanted this just in case I lose power and need something to run a few items like refrig and lights. I also liked it because it was dual power. I've run in on both gas and propane and it worked great.

Great product

I am surprised by this generator. The box arrived intact with no damage. All parts were included and easy to assemble. Everything I needed to assemble was included. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow. Started up immediately using propane. Actually exceeded my expectations!

Nice generator

If you're in the market for a generator that promises reliability, efficiency, and the flexibility of dual fuel, the Westinghouse WGENT36000DFCV stands out as a robust choice. Here's why it's earned its place in my toolkit: **Dual Fuel Versatility:** One of the standout features of this generator is its ability to run on both gasoline and propane. This dual-fuel capability not only offers a cost-effective alternative but also provides peace of mind during fuel shortages. Switching between fuels is seamless, and the performance drop when using propane is negligible, making it a versatile powerhouse for various scenarios. **Build Quality and Durability:** Westinghouse's reputation for sturdy construction holds true with the WGENT36000DFCV. The generator feels solid, thanks to its cast iron sleeve and heavy-duty frame. This isn't just a generator; it's an investment in durability. The design, including the ergonomic handles and wheels, makes it surprisingly portable for its power class, though it's still a beast to move around, but that's to be expected with its robust build. **Performance:** With a peak output of 4,650 watts on gasoline and a running wattage of 3,600, this generator can handle most household essentials during outages or power heavy tools at job sites. The runtime on a full tank is impressive, offering hours of continuous power, which is crucial during extended power cuts or long days on the job. **User Experience:** Starting this beast is straightforward with options for electric, remote, or manual pull start. The inclusion of a VFT Data Center is a nice touch, providing real-time data on the generator's status, though navigating through the tiny mode button can be a bit of a challenge. However, once you get the hang of it, it's a feature you'll appreciate for maintenance and efficiency tracking. **Noise Level:** While not the quietest in its category, the noise level at 69 dBA is manageable for most uses, especially if you're not too concerned about noise or plan to use it in an area where noise isn't a significant issue. For those needing silence, this might not be your top pick, but for functionality over quietness, it performs admirably. **Conclusion:** The Westinghouse WGENT36000DFCV generator is a powerhouse of reliability and versatility. It's not just about having power; it's about having the right power for the job, whether that's emergency backup or powering through a construction day. If you're looking for a generator that combines American engineering with practical design, this model ticks all the boxes. It's a bit of a heavyweight, but for the power and features it offers, it's a worthy companion for anyone serious about their power needs.

Great unit with lots of features - a bit noiser

I really like my first ever generator - WGen3600DF. I knew it would be a bit nosier but for my planned usage of as a backup power, in case of power outage at my house, should be just fine. Unit came with a cool remote to start and stop, wirelessly. There is a strip down version of this generator but I think extra features are worth getting as one doesn't buy generator very often. I am writing this review as I may get a promotional item; however, by review is from a pure customer perspective.

Simple to setup and get going!

I bought this because I live in Texas and our illustrious governor and GOP lead legislature have done absolutely nothing of value when it comes to winterizing power plants and ensuring our electric grid doesn't fail (again). I wanted something I could store in our shed, so we could run space heaters and not freeze when the grid does inevitably fail (again). Anyway, this thing weighs about 100lbs so I can move it in/out of the shed easily and it came fully assembled and ready to rock & roll. Added the included oil, attached a BBQ propane tank, flipped the switch, pulled the rip cord, and LET THERE BE POWER. I hope I never need to use this, but I'm sure I will (see above) due to incompetence. I'll make sure to fire this thing up every 6 or so weeks, keep it ready, and be prepared.
