Great Layout of Features

I just purchased this model to power my refrigerator and any other home appliances (low wattage) including my television during California power outages. With this much power I can add other devices as needed to keep things going at home. The control panel is easy to understand and includes outlets for 120V AC 20A, 120V AC 30A twistlock and 120V AC 30A travel trailer too. Very satisfied with this product.

My Generator is teaching me

When in doubt search for the best and my WGen3600DF came out on top everywhere. So now I'm learning about wire gauge and that propane produces slightly less Watts than gasoline. Yesterday was the real test after filling the tank with "unleaded", flipped a couple of buttons, and YES ! it started right up and ran fine during this break-in period. I'm here in Florida where hurricanes pop up any time from June to Sept. ... so plan ahead and be ready cause for certain your gonna end up in the dark for a few days and/or paying a big motel bill... so pay it now or pay it later - It's up to you.

Exactly what we wanted for backup power

Have had 2 other generators from different brands to use for backup. One had problems starting with either fuel type, the other was labeled at 72 decibels from 25 ft and was closer to 100. Westinghouse dual fuel starts easy, either fuel, any start method(has three!) and is at a decent noise level. Output is what was needed and so far I've not had a problem in the break in period.

WGen3600DF Daul Fuel remote start

I paid good money for the generator. Once I broke it out of the box to start it up. I charged the battery since it wouldn't start remotely. I figured it would have come charged. Next day tried to start it and nothing. I charged it for 5 days and still no remote start. I've sent 4 messages to the company and haven't heard from them yet. So no I wouldn't recommend a product where the company doesn't stand behind it.

Good Product

I've only had the generator for a short while, but so far it seems good. It started right up (after I filled it with oil and hooked it to a propane tank!) and it was reasonably quiet. The only thing that I don't like is that the indicator light, that lights when the main power button is turned on, stays on all the time. If you shut the unit off with the fob, it will drain the battery overnight which negates the usefulness of having a remote fob. Other than that, it appears to be a good, solid generator.

Simple to setup and get going!

I bought this because I live in Texas and our illustrious governor and GOP lead legislature have done absolutely nothing of value when it comes to winterizing power plants and ensuring our electric grid doesn't fail (again). I wanted something I could store in our shed, so we could run space heaters and not freeze when the grid does inevitably fail (again). Anyway, this thing weighs about 100lbs so I can move it in/out of the shed easily and it came fully assembled and ready to rock & roll. Added the included oil, attached a BBQ propane tank, flipped the switch, pulled the rip cord, and LET THERE BE POWER. I hope I never need to use this, but I'm sure I will (see above) due to incompetence. I'll make sure to fire this thing up every 6 or so weeks, keep it ready, and be prepared.

Like the remote start / stop

Moved to north coast Massachusetts. Big nor'easter took out power for a couple days. It was a "Heads Up" to be prepared. Being able to run boiler & pumps of our heating system is essential if this happens in winter. Studied needs of boiler/pumps & refrigerator, ie. the essentials. 3.5kW is more than enough. Looked over makes/models, availability and price. For back up power, there is no certainty if/when it will be needed, so this is not a go-overboard investment. Just survival and home protection. What I liked about WGen3600DF: The remote could be real handy, particularly if I put the generator by the shed way out back. Dual fuel a must: I will prefer propane over gas- much less to think about in readiness, maintenance & storage if I go with propane. What concerned me: The manual is not very straight forward compared to other brands. Some of the maintenance gets into "are you a professional mechanic?" (no). Also the detail steps to start and stop are hands-on, yet the convenient FOB clearly is not. Is that a problem? Oil filling had to be done carefully, and I found out it gobbles up about a full quart. Hands on: I ran it up first time today. It worked well. The FOB was pre-paired and operated the generator easily from 40 yards. The generator won my confidence it is ready to step in when we need it. Lucky timing... Electrician is coming this week to overhaul house electrical panel. Good opportunity to wire in a couple extension cord style transfer switches for furnace & refrigerator circuits. When time comes I need this, I don't want to sort thru the manual. So I made a one-page cheat sheet covering Anticipating Use, Start up, Intermittent start & stop (by FOB), Formal shut down. Tie wrapped that to the generator.

Nice combinations of features!

I've been looking for a dual fuel RV generator that has remote start, and this appears to be the only one on the market. I was a bit hesitant on the open frame type model due to the noise I've experienced with others, but the noise level and pitch are surprisingly quiet. The propane is so convenient and burns clean. I haven't tried it with gasoline, and unless I'm in a pinch I doubt I will, since the propane has indefinite shelf life and won't gum up the carb. The connection of the starting battery was a little bit of a hassle and wasn't well described in the instructions, and one of the screws on the battery bracket was torqued too much and I had difficulty getting it out. This generator has an incredible set of features for a great price, making it a good value. The three year warranty is also very nice.

Queit running

I was surprise to hear how quiet the generator ran. I use it primarily as a backup for the house using a tap off the house's LPG line. So, I concern about the neighbors. But, I can start it up and go into the house close the door and barely hear here it running. That is a big plus. I have not used it with gasoline as yet; so I do not know how that will go. I like have that option: LPG or Gasoline.

Simple set up.

I've never owned a generator and am not knowledgable of engines at all. But the manual was clear and the setup was easy. The only issue I had was the battery was connected to the terminals, but there was a plug that had to be attached . It took me a while to find it since it wasn't mentioned in the manual. But that was the only issue I had.
