Instead its a roll, so once the pain hits me I just rub it on the affected area. Once I felt pain in my arm, the roll on stated working right away. First I felt the pain then out of no where the coolness from the roll on was activated. It help ease the pain I was feeling in my shoulder. This is a good buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this for sore back muscles and it really lessens the pain! Initially I thought the roller might not be as effective as a gel or lotion because it goes on thinner but it works just as good! The roller is also nice for not having to worry about accidentally rubbing product that could be left on your hands into your eyes or nose! The pain relief lasts about 4 hours for me and frees me up from being stuck on the couch with a heating pad. It does tingle a bit and has a strong mint like smell but that's pretty typical of these types of soreness relief. Good stuff!!
