I tried Biofreeze Pain Relief Roll-On for several days and am pleased to report that my knee felt great. The gel is not greasy, rolls on and absorbs quickly. I could get dressed right away. Pain Relief lasted for almost 4 hours so I had plenty of time to exercise, and get my everyday activities taken care of before I needed to reapply the gel. A very effective product for me. This goes on cool, gets colder and then warms up and actually gets HOT! A real surprise for anyone that has not used this product before! My advice is to wait it out even if it feels like it is getting too hot-NEVER try to wash it off as when you put colder water on it, it seems to get even hotter.

It has an instant cooling effect, which is great, however I feel like the effect does not last so long. I got mild relief and had to reapply often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Biofreeze pain relief gel provides the same effective relief I have come to rely on with Biofreeze products. I like the concept of a roll on so I can keep the product off of my hands for application, however, the gel doesn't go on as lightly or evenly as I hoped so I do end up having to smooth it out and rub it in with my hands. It does provide pain relief for several hours after application but could stand a bit more improvement on the consistency and applicator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Biofreeze was recommended to me by my physical therapist after an auto accident. They even applied it to my knee after physical therapy sessions. I continued to use it on my knees and hips for minor arthritis pain. I started out using the tube form and applying it by hand. Then I discovered the roll-on form a while back! I LOVE it. No mess. Which is a big plus. But the ball in the roll on form also works great for really rubbing it in to my achy joints. It's like giving yourself a little massage and applying the pain relief all at the same time. Feels wonderful! Awesome product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was experiencing some pain at my ankle whenever I bended it a certain way. Going down the stairs was especially painful. I used the Biofreeze roll on where it hurt me the most and on the first day I did experience some relief. I used it at night and I even wore socks to sort of lock in some heat. The next night when I used it again I didn't feel any relief at all. I then applied it during the day and I applied it multiple times throughout the day and I did feel some relief. All in all I think this product is hit or miss.

After rolling it on you may still have to rub it in a little bit with your fingers. It dries down quickly; I didn't notice any sticky residue left behind.
